Re: Unable to remove item from playlist
I have a problem with a programe on BBC Iplayer. I did add it but after 3 episodes I didn't want to watch the rest of the series, so it was removed. Yet its now on my playlist, I have ff to the end on everything episodes, all of them but it's still there, I've ff to the end on the last episode more than 10 times and it won't disappear from my playlist. Can someone please help and why can't removing a program be easy

Re: Unable to remove item from playlist
Hi again Mark, I FINALLY found LINGO after trawling through a heap of menus and rails, what a drag that was. So there I had the option to ADD the series, so reluctantly I did. Now I go back to my Playlist, and there I find I do have the option to REMOVE series, BUT, the bloody program REMAINS in my Playlist. How the heck do I dump it forever please?

Re: Unable to remove item from playlist
Hi again Mark, this is what I DO NOT like highlighted in red below, as it does not give the user any control over the programs that are added to the Playlist, nor in my case."Did I ask for them to be added":-
"What is the Play Now rail?
Play now brings together things you have recently added to your Playlist, alongside things you've started to watch - it takes your viewing history into account - so if you have caught up with a show and the next episode becomes available, it will be presented at the beginning of Play now".

Re: Unable to remove item from playlist
Hi Sky representative, surely the user should have control over what they keep in the playlist? So why not just a keep or remove/delete as in sky Q recordings?

Re: Unable to remove item from playlist
@leopard+lady you can remove series from your playlist, but not individual episodes, see this article for an explanation https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/Sky-TV/Sky-Glass-Playlist-explained/ba-p/3828792

Re: Unable to remove item from playlist
Why oh why oh why does the ITV program LINGO keep reappearing in my Playlist at its daily transmission time of 3pm? Everyday I have to FFWD the most recent episode to get rid of it, the next day at 3pm it’s back. How the heck can I REMOVE this annoying program from my Playlist?
Please don't tell me to select View all in my Playlist and select Remove Series, as that option is NEVER available for me. Selecting it as Mark advised earlier in this thread did not work either.
One day Sky will realise it's biggest mistake in its launch of Sky Glass is its Playlist. Please let your PAYING subscribers have the choice of "recording" programs and deleting them as is in the Sky Q interface.
Sky's Playlist may work fine across its OWN series/output with options to ADD and REMOVE SERIES, but when used with other 3rd party Apps like the BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+ to name a few it is NOT very user friendly. We PAY for this service, give us what we want please....

Re: Unable to remove item from playlist
Oh MichaelWIG.... looks like you're going to be haunted by Lingo forever. 😱
Sky too busy advertising there brand new shiny tv to bother about us who have already bought it.. and trying to help us with our problems... which in fairnuss is us pointing out the glitches in the system

To be honest I'm not quite sure what lingo is, but I'm scared to look it up in case it comes onto my already overloaded playlist/saved/watch again list... 😀

Re: Unable to remove item from playlist
What pains me most is, there are many posting in the many discussions at various Sky forums, relating to the issues subscribers are having with Glass Playlist. Yet NO ONE at SKY responds to these postings. At least have the COURAGE to admit there are issues with the Playlist across the various streaming platforms and tell your paying subscribers you are AWARE of them and will shortly be releasing a software update to FIX them once and for all.
It's pointless calling Sky, as their poorly informed Call Centre staff have no answers. Nine times out of ten they intimate there are many issues with the Sky Glass platform. I have at many times resisted the move back to Sky Q on the grounds that Sky will eventually address their Glass issues. My hope that day will arrive is slowly being diminished....if there is anyone out there directly employed by Sky at a senior level, please respond to this posting.....

Re: Unable to remove item from playlist
Try locating it from outside the Playlist and then remove it. Access it through the search function rather than through the Playlist and then select remove. That worked for me on a BBC iPlayer programme that I couldn't get rid of

Re: Unable to remove item from playlist
Would this work with things you haven't actually added? My playlist has many things on it that, if I press view all, are not there. I haven't actually added them.

Re: Unable to remove item from playlist
I don't know. There is nothing in my Playlist that I didn't add myself.
Or do you mean the Play Now rail? I don't believe it's possible to remove anything from that.
