Re: Unable to remove item from playlist

@MichaeWlG  I could see video.
thsts not the problem. It's the programmes that appear on the play now rail that appear for no reason & can't get rid of them!! I fast forward through them & they go but if a daily programme reappears everyday!!!
why do they appear on the play now rail & as previously stated should be a delete button.

Re: Unable to remove item from playlist

I am being naive to believe there is someone employed by Sky who READS these postings? Someone who may hint at a possible SOLUTION, someone who may pass all these KNOWN issues with Playlist/Play Now onto someone who is a SOFTWARE ENGINEER, who just may REPLY and give us some HOPE....or are we ALL just wasting our time?? Or maybe Sky just don't care??

Re: Unable to remove item from playlist

As discussed,  basically the play rails  section, is a recently viewed, and mirrors your play list to certain extent.  My opinion it's not needed at the moment as it's not fit for purpose, as they have made it so you cannot remove items.

they will just drop off,  I never go into it any more,

Re: Unable to remove item from playlist

I have concluded the Sky Glass Playlist is pretty pointless, I have no need for it. Almost everything I view can be viewed at any time I please by selecting the various Apps, like the BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub, CH4, Amazon Prime, Netflix, Disney+ etc. The more you think about it, "Taping or Recording" programs is defunct in a Steaming medium. So from now on, I shall ignore the Playlist with all that Sky keeps continually putting back in there.

Re: Unable to remove item from playlist

I totally get where sky want playlist to be and how they want it to be used.

It's great when it works, as it helps keep a single list of what I'm watching all in one place. However as soon as it starts playing up it becomes annoying and frustrating.

Until it's made 100% reliable then dipping in and out of apps is the best way to keep track of content.

Re: Unable to remove item from playlist

Hi all

what you can do is fast forward whatever program has decided to launch itself onto your list, then you're able to delete it after that... thanks sky 👍

Re: Unable to remove item from playlist

I'm having to watch, fast forward to the end of the program at least 8 time before the program can be deleted. Getting very fed up, why can't it be easy to remove

Reading this suggests you don't understand how it's supposed to work.

The whole point of it is that you bookmark and add all the shows you want to watch across various providers  so they're in one place and you don't HAVE to go into all the various apps looking for something that takes your fancy. Why have you bought Glass if you're happy to do that?

Re: Unable to remove item from playlist

What a condescending answer. It would be great if my playlist worked as you described. Instead sky adds programs randomly which can't be deleted. Programs watched in apps mostly aren't in the playlist andno have to look for them in the app itself.. Films on free channels which also happen to be on sky cinema can't be added as I don't have a sky cinema subscription. The original comment was correct. The playlist in general and the  play now rail especially currently are not fit for purpose.

Re: Unable to remove item from playlist

So you have to go looking everywhere to "bookmark and add all the shows you want to watch across various providers  so they're in one place"

That seems pretty pointless, as you have to go "into all the various apps looking for something that takes your fancy".

A bit like owning two wrist watches, when you can really only use one at a time.

I bought Sky Glass as streaming is the future, the days of scheduled TV are doomed, we live in a 24/7 World, where almost anything can be done "on demand". I don't need Playlist to do what I want to view.....

Nope, you just voice search on the Home Screen and it will pull it in from wherever. You then add to play list.

I've owned Glass from day one and it's never added anything to my Play List TV Shows, Movies or Sport.

The Play Now rail is different because it puts anything you may even start watching there in case you want to pick it up again but I largely ignore the Play Now rail anyway.

The Play List is fine for me. I add shows that Sky recommends if they interest me or films I want to watch. If I'm in say the Disney or Netflix app and I see something I want to watch another time, I search it on the home Sky page and add it to Play List there. The whole thing works a peach.

As for being condescending, I'm trying to give a fair perspective to people who might want Glass. People says it's "pointless" and "not fit for purpose" and other histrionics and I'm merely giving balance. It's perfectly fine if you use it the right way.

It's fine yes, apart from the Playlist, end of....
