At least if we went to a competitor for a while (until we find our their faults) by that time Sky may have considered fixing this one.

This is actively being worked on. I believe we've made steps to improve the situation (not relevant for you if you're still suffering with it I appreciate).

I am told that the next patch should contain a fix but I'm not sure exactly when that will be.

Being that my tablet used to work ok with Go, shows they can break it so hopefully they will fix it to.

Not a lot of point giving away Sky Go Extra so you can watch Sky on other devices that don't work with it anymore.

Sounds like a smart idea.

Pity I have literally cancelled my £34 a month subscription to Sky Sports today. The main purpose of watching on the tablet. Nevermind, we're £408 a year better off. Thanks Sky.

The Sky go app automatically updated this morning and I've got the "codec" error again !.

Reinstalled 15.3.3 again from uptodown again and is now fine.

Sky could put up a link to previous versions of Sky go to help.

Sam-R any comment ?.

If it contained a link to a download of an apk from a non-official source, then it would probably have been removed by Sky.

Was working ok in December before I went away. Back in UK  now getting error code14.

Have had various conversations with Sky, useless, only recording my complaints. Why isn,t there a problem with Apple?

15.3.3 is the version of Sky go, before I started having this problem.

A website uptodown have most of the Sky go versions and you can download the version to when you had no problems.

Someone put up the link, which I also did but the posts were removed by Sky.
