Re: Support with your Sky bill

Hi,

Please help...

I switched to sky to be able to provide good broadband for my kids home learning during all lockdowns, necessary isolation periods etc.  As a single mum trying to cope on uc as childcare support is not fully available again yet i also need to stick to my budget.

I am struggling to cope with the talk charges.. in fact they are unmaintainable whilst covid restrictions remain.  What can we do?

The broadband is great but i cannot afford the huge talk charges for such small talk time.  I cannot find any options to help in hub or faqs, they go round in circles!  Obviously call times are horrendous- an email address would be fantastic but cant seem to find one?

Please can u let me know what support / changes you can offer.

Thanks

Rachel

If you have large Talk charges then it sounds like you are on the Pay as you Talk plan so you might be better off switching to something like the Anytime Extra plan which for about £10 a months allows you to call landline (01, 02 and 03 numbers) and mobiles (07) for free, call Sky if you wish to do this.

If you have "Sky mobile" or "Sky talk" calls to Sky call centres are included and cost nothing except the time.

Re: Support with your Sky bill

@lipgloss10  you need to speak to Sky as a matter of urgency. I'm struggling to see the connection though between your mum being in C19 risk category and you needing the Internet. I suspect Sky may scratch their heads at that one too.

@lipgloss10  If the first attempt fails Sky retry 10 days later if that attempt fails then service is restricted but you may have a couple of days grace period to make a manual payment

If your service becomes restricted not only will you need to clear the balance you will also need to setup a new continuous payment method before it's restored

Re: Support with your Sky bill

Hi

my services have been restricted as I am finding financial difficulty during Covid . I am currently also self isolating and will not be returning to work until 11th. However I need to be able to work from home and my internet is off

what can I do please

I can not afford to pay my full outstanding balance but may be able to do the broadband

@Sarah4727  Unfortunately sky won't restore services until the outstanding balance is paid in full (they won't accept part payment)  and new continuous payment method has been setup

you could try calling from a number not linked to your account, or if you have sky talk mobile or landline call 150 as that sometimes works

@Lpoolterry providing your services haven't already been restricted, they may be able to, but you'll need to call.

Re: Support with your Sky bill

Hello

I hope you are well.

I am an NHS key worker and my account has got suspended due to late payment. I called yesterday to speak to an advisor on the phone to explain that I will pay the bill in full on the 26th of this month.

However the services got suspended today and I want you to re activate my services and I will pay the bill  on the 26th.

is this okay?

I do look forward to hearing from you.

@Anna123F

You are talking to other customers on here only so you will need to try and call Sky from either a number they will not recognise or by calling Sky but dialing the 141 prefix first. You need to do this because if you call from your usual number this system will ask for for a payment before you can talk to someone.
