Major problems with the remote. A huge batch have this problem. They have been told to tell customers that they should wait and the remote will come back on but they can't say when (hours, days weeks). Staff at this particular centre didn't want to do that so have found a way to send out replacements for now. It is only a matter of time until they are stopped from doing it. I was told it is a "customer relations nightmare".

There's a fix if you have a sky a remote hold 7 and 9 for 3 seconds and 1 and 3 on an old sky q remote and it will work
only for people with sky q remote it also makes the puck or stream faster

My remote seems dead to the world - no back light on the buttons, nothing.
Is that what everyone else is experiencing?

I phoned up and was completely fobbed off with a no new remote - it will all start working at some point. Pretty disappointing.

Yes, that is the policy. I was lucky to find a rogue centre who were ignoring that policy and mine should be on its way.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreI'm finding it crazy to read the amount of remotes that are not working this is the 2020s remotes working on any device have been simple to get working for decades.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreYeah the last two weeks have been remote crazy ! This was never that much if an issue with glass

I am having the exact same issue, have a call with sky tomorrow morning and will feed back to them the contents of their own forum page.
They so far have even been suggesting my broadband may be causing the remotes to fail, which I believe is technically impossible, I have no other issues with sky stream really.

I spoke to Sky yesterday and they were honest saying it was a new product and was have a few teething issues. I've cancelled my Sky account and just need to call back this morning once my second puck is delivered.
