According to the tracking, my new remote is now on the vehicle for delivery today!
Did you get it and does it work?
I got it but my original one had started working by then so the new one is now put aside as a spare.

I have had the same issue very fustrating as nothing works and can't watch anything on the Tv as no other way to control it

Mine came on the 18th and has worked for maybe 5 minutes total. A replacement was supposedly sent "next day delivery" on the 19th... Still no sign. Cancelled the entire order in my cooling off period a couple of days ago.

I ordered 2 sky stream pucks and when they arrived one of the remotes was dead. There is an easy way to tell if it is the remote, open your camera app on your smart phone and aim the remote at the camera, when you press a button you should see the IR LED inside the remote flashing, I had one reomte that flashed and another that did not. I called Sky and ran through some diagnostics with them and they agreed the remote was dead and sent a new one out.

The second of our four Stream controllers decided to die on us last night.
What i've found, twice now, is that removing and then reseating the batteries really does seem to do the trick, at least for me. Just takes some perseverance. Try it. It might not work for you, and can take some time, but that's twice now, with two controllers.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more
Makes sense Sky first impressions matter to people and will lose them revenue hopefully you give it another try in future as if you can get past issues it works well.

You might find it turns up today going by @Carnoch04 timescale.
I wasn't told it would be next day and so I'm not expecting my replacement today. If it's not delivered Monday I will keep calling them until they send me a replacement!

This doesn't work for me. Tried it 20 or more times! Tried rubbing the batteries, tried rolling them, tried pressing them, tried new batteries (Duracell & Energizer) and it's still dead 32 hours later.

This would only work if the remote was in infa red mode. I tried this when my remote died the other night and got nothing but I put that down to the remote being paired in Bluetooth mode. Pressing 4 & 6 for 3 seconds should put the remote into infa red mode, I get nothing on my remote.

I've been with sky multiple times over the years and have always been a fan. It's more the way they've handled it and the fact I was on a timescale to tell BT whether to let Sky take over the line or not that influenced my cancelling. Ultimately as I've said before on here the puck doesn't appear to be anything more than a raspberry pi with streaming services installed, the only real difference being that a raspberry pi would work. It's just not that great of a system if I'm honest even if it did work and after finding out they'd missold it to me in the first place and it was actually £17 more a month than I agreed to it was just the cherry on the cake to just continue using my Smart TV for access to all the apps.

Just another inconvenience to send back at this point. I've had no communication to suggest it's even on its way so I'm assuming they never sent it in the first place.

I don't think @Carnoch04 had any communication until yesterday morning (SMS) that their remote was out for delivery. I haven't had any notification either, she took my mobile number and couldn't just take it from my sky account as she said she was in a different system. Maybe someone else is cancelling or putting a hold on Sky Glass replacement remote orders? 🤔

@WelshPaul The multiple people I spoke to didn't seem to have the same information either. One said they were sent by royal mail, another said they came from a warehouse owned by Panther, another said they're stored and delivered by DPD. Honestly no one seemed to know what was going on. Just glad it was within my cooling off period. But also they've tried to take the first direct debit this morning, put a stop to that. Seems a bit cheeky only 10 days after the order was placed and 3 days after I've cancelled everything 😂

@WelshPaul I tried a few times but I honestly believe it has nothing to do with it. Mine had been lying on the coffee table for a couple of hours after various re-setting attempts. I moved it out the way and noticed the tv volume changed. I picked up the remote and it was working!
