Yeah mines on that firmware just the box is on the older firmware.

LOL... I plan on returning the new replacement remote SKY sent me back to Amazon for a refund. Wouldn't be fair to return the one I received from Amazon as I have used unboxed and used it. If Sky don't ask for the old faulty remote back then I will simply bin it, leaving me with just one working Sky Glass remote and the Sky Q remote I purchased from Argos (keeping as a spare).

I just have the same issue. Control totally unresponsive. No light on the remote. 

Just got it. Also Sky Staff,  a little disappointed that noting works at the minute.

The remote is totally dead

@MariePierre26 my remote was the same upon unboxing. No idea how I got it working, I removed the batteries, tried replacements, rolled them and did the usual press and hold for three seconds 7 & 9, 4 & 6, 1 & 3. Nothing seemed to work but out of nowhere it started working and worked well for five days then died and hasn't recovered since!

Sky ordered a replacement 8am on Thursday morning and it's out for delivery with DPD today. I purchased a Sky Q remote from Argos as a spare and I have been using that otherwise I would have been without TV.

My Sky Stream box arrived an hour ago and my remote is already bricked. Tried everything mentioned and there's no reviving it. No backlight at all. 

Surely this sort of issue is spotted during testing, there's no way that it went through Beta testing and nobody picked up on what is a fatal issue. 

I'll wait "some time" for it to reanimate and come back to life 😞

@Megamarvatron If you have no backlight then call Sky and request a replacement. Mine died Wednesday and it is still dead.

I managed to get the replacement remote to show signs of life eventually by holding 7 & 9 for three seconds but it was behaving eratic. It worked for a few seconds here and there and then it would show no signs of life again. Finally after three failed pairing attemps I did manage to pair the remote.

 

I can confirm that this one shipped with firmware version 5103.2.4. However, this remote had all the bugs reported by others - Low battery notifications, buttons not doing what they should. Anyway, I turned off the puck and went down stairs for a cuppa and when I came back up twenty minutes later the remote was dead again. This time I replaced the batteries and was supprised to see it spring back to life. It had during this time upgraded it's firmware version to 5103.3.4. I checked the batteries it came with using a multi meter and I can confirm they are ok - WEIRD!!!

We have same issue,  nigthmare from minute we set up the puck stream,  remote does not work,   Sky advised its a known issue for over a week,  a software upgrade is coming,   we have not been able to watch anything, never had any issues with SKY Q,    poor service from sky to not test, test and restest these new remotes...  

 

We are now waiting on a SKYQ remote to arrive as backup until  Stream remote gets software upgrade..

I've just had the 2nd of 4 remotes die on me now, 1st as previously mentioned was dead out the box, that's been replaced with a Q remote for younger daughter just now until new stream one arrives. 

The one that's just gave up had been fine although rapidly went downhill this evening when eldest daughter was watching TV, it stopped responding & backlight got dimmer while erratically flashing whenever I pressed buttons. 

The other 2 are acting up as well, 1 for mine & mrs room took a few attempts to get it back to life again earlier & 1 for living room seems to throw a fit whenever I try to watch something through Netflix, it just won't respond, more so if I try to watch something right after my kids I get the message about switching profiles but I can't even select the ok button, it's just stuck on the black screen with that message. 

Only way to resolve it is turn the puck off & on again, go in to my kids profile, start watching something of theirs then exit & select mine & mrs profile!

 

If this is a sign of what lies ahead then I'll going back to Q for sure.

This morning's thrilling instalment of random Stream remote fun involved a return of the low battery warning, but everything else working normally. Last night there was no battery warning but the remote's backlight wasn't working.

The Stream puck itself was pretty sluggish this morning too. Home screen even more juddery than usual. I looked to see if it was updating the software but so far it's still on QS011. It's perhaps trying to download it in the background and can't cope with the strain...

Not good, you stated in a previous post that your remote is running the latest firmware too (5103.3.4).

 

I'm wondering if the low battery notification is because the batteries are running low on juice? People have been complaining about their Sky Glass remote batteries needing replacing way to frequently for some time now. Do you have a multimeter you can test them with?
