@Scousegunner interesting, that does make sense, but you'd think the bass boost would have some effect on the sound, I can't detect anything changing.

It might be, but opinion seems to vary about how much effect the bass boost toggle achieves.
All content on YouTube is in 2.0 stereo, despite some videos claims of being in Dolby Atmos, so they are not the best things to test with.
Try playing a movie on Sky Cinema (Monster Hunter springs to mind as having a bass-heavy opening sequence) and see if the bass is affected, or if you don't have Sky Cinema, the opening titles of Succession from the On Demand or Box sets section have very bassy moments.

I have tried test on Netflix, Spotify etc
The boost does absolutely nothing.

Give Sky a ring then and see if they can sort you out a replacement.

It's the same on the speech and surround sound toggle.
Not just a slight difference but no difference whatsoever when I toggle them.

Re: Speaker tests on you tube - anyone else getting no bass sounds?
Yep same here. has been since i got the TV over a month ago nearly 2 maybe now.
Bass is better than the first TV we had, but one thing i still get is crakling when we turn the volume up to around just under half. it's not distorion, it's hard to explain. i'll try video it next time.
as an aside, one thing they need to implement is casting from my mobile or a device, something as simple as i want to show off photos from my mobile phone or whatever iti may be. i expect all modern expensive tv's to be able to do this.

The problem being that Sky don't see Glass as a TV. They see it as an "entertainment platform" according to their chief product officer. He also has said "we’re not in the telly business, necessarily. We’re in the experience business."
It's just a pity that a lot of customers' experience with Glass is a very poor one.

Re: Speaker tests on you tube - anyone else getting no bass sounds?
Well then thier marketing person knows nothing about what people actually want. I've also notice they replaced the advert promoting "amazing bass" for a more family friendly type advert now.
Sky Glass could have been an awesome amazing and revolutionary piece of hardware, and at that price i would have expected it, but they have really missed thier target audience with it.

Re: Speaker tests on you tube - anyone else getting no bass sounds?
I just don't know from all the replies if I should request another TV or not?
I don't want to end up with the same problem after I get a new set.
As far as I concerned the toggles do nothing at all and I've asked multiple people to listen as well and all say they do not change the sound at all.

Try the introduction to an episode of 'Succession': the bass notes in the signature tune for that really highlights the 'buzz' issue on our set.
