Re: Speaker tests on you tube - anyone else getting no bass sounds?
Just done it on the puk that worked, but the TV did not update.
even went on update in setting says unsuccessful. My guess this could be due to servers overload.

@Nigel+Whiting Mine took two unplugs to get it to update. You could always wait until morning to see if it installs overnight.

Same here - no difference at all with the new update.

I wasn't holding out much hope on this fixing the bass if I'm honest. I do think the sound that I have is nice, but certainly lacking the 'epic sub-woofer' that Sky talked about.

Re: Speaker tests on you tube - anyone else getting no bass sounds?
Have we been mislead that there is so much bass?
should it be deep bass?
does the bass only work properly on certain channels programs?

Re: Speaker tests on you tube - anyone else getting no bass sounds?
So when I force updated my Glass TV today, there pops up is a little promo type video when the tv is configuring/calibrating itself and you hear things about left speaker, right speaker, blah, blah, blah ...... However, then the video introduced Subwoofer which piqued my interested, however the noise from the sub itself was disappointing when taken on it's own, but then when they played all the channels together the sound of the bass and subwoofer was greatly increased, so I'd say if you're looking for pure grunt from it, youre gonna be very underwhelmed, however the effect when all the speakers are helping is far better for making the bass work, in other words the sum of all the speakers themselves is better than the individual components.
If you want to watch and hear it yourself (and don't mind setting your TV back up again) you'll need to do a forced software update by unplugging your TV from the mains, plugging it back in again while holding the on and off button on the TV down, and holding your finger on the button until the LED starts to blink (not pulse like is usually does), then taking your finger off and let it go about its update business.

Re: Speaker tests on you tube - anyone else getting no bass sounds?
@Nigel+Whiting that is a very good question that even sky technicians and customer service staff can't answer , I've become very disillusioned with it all now I was expecting a decent sounding sound bar not glorified tv speakers

Re: Speaker tests on you tube - anyone else getting no bass sounds?
It would be helpful if Sky provided a means of testing each speaker so that this confusion didn't occur, a simple video that you could play to test the output would work.
my understanding is that there should be a clear difference when applying the bass boost for example, I get nothing. The sound from the other speakers is good, but I get a distinct lack of depth to the bass, that's why Sky are replacing mine on Sunday.
