Re: SkyQ Download Failed Item Unavailable

We don't need to know where the fault is. The problem is definitely Sky.

How canyou say it's Sky when don't need know where the fault is? Please just stop saying where the fault is when you don't know. What we do know is that there is a fault. That all we can 100% say for sure.

I am also having the same problem, 15 minutes to get through to Sky and then told to run an update. While on hold got cut off, let up date go through (another 15 minutes), reset box and same problem. Another 20 minutes waiting to get through to sky only to be told it was my broadband speed. Explained other channels download OK, it only seems to be sky channels such as sky atlantic. He then told me to update software again as it may not have installed properly, I started this and then I got cut off again. This was lat week and I am still having the same problem. This is really frustrating. After working 14 to 18hr shifts in a busy hospital I just want to sometimes come home and binge on catch ups.... very very frustrating!

@Grimsby21@skyhelpteam on twitter acknowledge that it is a known issue and say "we are still working to resolve this issue and as soon as we have a solution, an update will be provided" - search "sky q download failed" on twitter for more

We don't know where the problem is. Some say it's BT. Some say it's Sky servers. Some say it's Sky firmware. Do you really know who's fault the problem is? Maybe it's both Sky & BT. I have no idea who's  fault the problem is.

One thing I do know for sure, it's not all third party Internet services thathave a problem downloading. I just know that BT/EE, Vodaphone, and TalkTalk have problems.

I know Sky say they are working on the problem. But let's say it's a problem with BT. That doesn't mean that Sky is not trying to fix their system so it works with BT. Bbecause Sky are trying to fix the problem does not mean it's a Sky fault.

I was with Three and using the TP-Link MR600 v2 router. It wor,ked other then we got a poor signal from Three. That was back on Q160 as I had a v1 2TB Q box back then.

Re: SkyQ Download Failed Item Unavailable

Whose programs can't we download successfully? All other channels download as normal. Sky have acknowledged on Twitter that there is a problem but are giving people who contact them conflicting advice even telling someone they needed a new box - doesn't  exactly inspire confidence

Re: SkyQ Download Failed Item Unavailable

@LGUser numerous posts from you seemingly increasing desperate to tell everyone this isn't Sky's fault, anything you want to tell us?

Let's examine the facts:

Users of various different broadband providers, not just BT,  can't download programmes on their Sky boxes

All apps, both within the Sky box environment itself and outside it, stream just fine.

Literally everything else on my and, judging by others' posts here, everyone's broadband, is fine for everything except downloading to Sky boxes.

The evidence for this being a Sky fault is overwhelming and incontrovertible for everyone else here apart from you apparently.

Re: SkyQ Download Failed Item Unavailable

@LGUser Not sure how you have decided it's not a Sky issue? as any content that is downloaded comes from Sky's own Servers ,looking at the hundreds of replies to this issue it happens with most ISP's which points to the issue being Sky's!.

Back to Sky Q and 2 mini boxes after a failed attempt at Sky Stream (again) , VM 1 gb Broadband and Google Nest WiFi Pro.

I'm not saying it's a Sky issue or a BT issue. We don't know who's fault it is. So please stop blaming anyone until we know for sure.

Re: SkyQ Download Failed Item Unavailable

As a Sky user if functionality is not available it is Sky's fault. Any backroom/technical issues are not my concern.

Re: SkyQ Download Failed Item Unavailable

@LGUser  As this is a public forum I will express my views as I see fit thanks!, as for who is at fault here then let's look at the common denominator which,on this occasion is Sky and their Servers.
