I've just ran a software update. It's now Q180.000.170.00L but I'm still getting download failed. Getting it on everything now including movies

Quick update all, I cobbled together some 'fixes' from various posts in an attempt to try and get this working at least a bit. I ended up changing the DNS settings to 8.8.8.8 on both my SkyQ and my mini box, rebooted the Q box first and then the mini. Since then I have been able to download a catch up programme from C5 and a box set episode from Peacock, and am currently about 30% into downloading from one of the Sky Movies channels but going to bed now. Still a little temperamental now and again and doesn't excuse this appalling lack of customer service from Sky, but I've been able to download things I couldn't before making those changes. May not work for good or for everyone but thought I would share what I did for anyone who wants to give it a go.

Getting download failed too, also on BT ho.e home. Strangely am able to download UHD though just not in HD or SD.

We have the same problem but managed to download next episode of Landscapers last night. Everything else tried yesterday failed. Have spoken to Sky who said a fix is being sought and should be available soon. If this goes on beyond the weekend I will be asking for money off and a switch to BT TV is now a possibility. Has anyone else been offered any compensation for the ongoing lack of service?

I have replied to the email I received to ask why I've been told it's my viewing card when no one else appears to have been given this "excuse". I've also suggested someone from Sky takes the time to read all these comments and actually provide a response on here.
With regards compensation and being told on demand is free so no compensation, I've pointed out phone companies give free calls at certain times of day but if you couldn't make phone calls you wouldn't class it as acceptable because they were free!
No doubt I'll be fobbed off again but I feel better having sent another ranty email.

please help I cannot download the leftovers season 2 ep 8 and 9 was able to record ep10 this week but need the 2 from before keeps saying failed download on my q box I am on bt.

WE have had the odd fail but the main problem is slow download variuos channels
Vodaphone full fibre 560 up and down
Done all the work rounds still have the problem
Netflix speed through my smart sont TV is 176mbps

Is there anybody on here who is on the VIP Superuser Lounge ? - They seemingly have access to Sky experts, according to info on my profile page 🤷♀️ (It isn't clear whether these are expert Sky employees, or expert Sky users, but hoping it might mean the former.)
Just wondering if someone on here can point them towards this continuing thread.
Meanwhile, my thumb has an RSI from persistently pressing the download button to only sporadic avail. 🥴🙄 (If I earned my living from being a masseuse of some description, maybe Sky would have to cough up compo for loss of earnings? 🤔)
