Re: SkyQ Download Failed Item Unavailable

@Georgette73 so apparently they are lying to us now about this workaround solving the issue for all affected customers and claiming it's only BT broadband customers........

Re: SkyQ Download Failed Item Unavailable

Oops misread only BT customers but the bit about it solving everyone's problems is just a massive lie.

Re: SkyQ Download Failed Item Unavailable

Why don't they just say non-Sky Broadband customers, as that's what it appears to be.

Doesn't sky broadband run through openreach?

@Doc5907 - very helpful post! Works great on PC, can't seem to expand toolabr on iPad.

@deejay55 Yes I've heard it can cause issues on smaller devices. Have you tried changing from portrait to landscape or vice versa as I heard sometimes that works. (I only ever use a PC so I wouldn't know)

Re: SkyQ Download Failed Item Unavailable

All Broadband goes through Openreach infrastructure doesn't it? Except maybe the FTTP? Or have I got that wrong?

Although Openreach is a separate entity to BT.

Because that's not correct. I'm not yet with Sky and I m able to download. I'm using aTP-Link MR600 v2 router with an O2 unlimited data 4G sim.

Yes. But there are differences. Different routers, different infastructer at the ISPs, etc. So while the lines might be the same, there are enough differences.

Re: SkyQ Download Failed Item Unavailable

Hello All,

I have been experiencing the same issue and I'm also using BT broadband. I think I may have found a workaround, I have used the sky go app to download programmes that were failing to the sky Q box and so far it seems to be working (current download at 67% and climbing).

give it ago, I'm crazy downloading to see if it's reliable solution.

Re: SkyQ Download Failed Item Unavailable

Update.... still an issue, will have to call sky in the morning to log my issue. This does have a software config issue written all over it.

Re: SkyQ Download Failed Item Unavailable

Maybe something has changed, but I was trying that this time last week and it wasn't working for me.

Will give it another go, just in case something has changed since then.

@GarethR112 Thank you. I have just tried this and it has worked for me. I've just downloaded 3 episodes of Succession going through Skygo app.
