So easy on Sky Q saying skip 4 minutes 50 seconds and its immediate.
How do you do that with Sky Q?

Re: SkyGlass Awful
Hi, I have a question - sorry if this has been answered but I cant seem to find the answer.
Is it worth me getting a sky glass and using with with the Humax Aura, through which i have access to my apps like iPlayer, Disney Plus, as well as freeview?
I take it the sky glass works fine with the Aura in this sense? And yes I know some will say "just buy a normal tv then" but the sky glass gets me a 65" decent tv for only £21 a month which other retailers dont offer.
Thank you.

There is no issue doing that if you so wished.
Any HDMI device will work on Glass.

I'd suggest checking elsewhere: a quick look online suggests conventional 65" sets are available at around that kind of monthly cost on finance deals (although you'd be paying interest on those). Without a Sky subscription a Glass set is always likely to feel clunky.

Re: SkyGlass Awful
Thanks, but if im running content via hdmi (ie humax) then im not sure why it would feel clunky. I'd just be missing out on the sky interface.

@TheV Yes, if you are looking for a large tv 0% then glass may work out for you.

You'd see the remnants of Sky functionality every time you lifted the Glass remote or selected the HDMI port for the Humax: that would certainly bug me.

Re: SkyGlass Awful
But if im using the Aura, then i'd turn on my tv, select this hdmi port and then i've got live tv, recordability, my apps... i dont understand what the issue is with that. I might be missing something though

Re: SkyGlass Awful
@TheV It's only my opinion but I would steer clear of glass, I've had 2 55" and I've sent them both back.
I would definitely shop around for a stand alone tv.
Granted I haven't used the glass without a sky package but in my experience the hardware is not up to the job.

Re: SkyGlass Awful
Silly question, would i need to pay for the £5 UHD boost or do you only need this to boost the content through your sky subscription?

There's no input selection button on a Glass remote, for example: it's almost as if they didn't want to encourage that kind of non-subscription use ; )
Your choice, of course, but for a standalone set rather than a 'Sky TV' there are definitely 'better' ones available.
