Hopefully, yes.  Unfortunately mine currently does so with the LG Blu-ray player and crashes every time ; (

Re: SkyGlass Awful

What's the deal with paying £5 for dolby atmos?

Again, does this only apply to the content i get from the sky package?

Trying to work out if i cancel the sky package and keep the tv, does that mean im going to get dolby atmos through my freeview stuff / humax plugged into the hdmi or not?

They make it so confusing.

Re: SkyGlass Awful

You wouldn't need this unless you have the entertainment package with sky glass

Re: SkyGlass Awful

Thank you. God it s confusing!! So all these extras really apply to the sky package.

I get NOW  TV free so it's pointless me paying that.

Re: SkyGlass Awful

oh blimey.

ok, so now just need to decide if £21 a month is worth it for me to upgrade to a 65" tv. 🤔

Is the picture decent or not? I've heard conflicting things.

Re: SkyGlass Awful

You would be better asking this or searching in other threads about the quality of picture, there are plenty of discussions about.

If you have a sky store or retail pod nearby pop in and check it out for yourself. Only you can make the final decision whether the picture is up to scratch.

Re: SkyGlass Awful

@TheV As I said in a previous post I've had 2 55" glass tvs with sky packages.

I sent the first one back because the picture was very dark and there was verticals shadows all across the screen.

No matter what I did with settings it didn't improve, Sky sent a replacement, I experienced exactly the same issues.

Even the sound wasn't that great.

I know some have a very different experience with glass and many are happy with it but if you are asking me whether you should purchase one or not then my answer is no.

I would definitely look for a Samsung or LG especially with Black Friday upon us.

Re: SkyGlass Awful

Interesting, although this sounds more like a fault rather than the quality of the picture. I like the fact with sky glass the soundbar is built in and i cant find another retailer who'd offer a 65" tv for only 21 per month.

Re: SkyGlass Awful

@TheV I must have been unlucky then to get 2 tvs with exactly the same faults but there you go.

Is that £21 over 4 years, if so I'm pretty sure you could get something close to that.

Currys/Argos/AO or whoever will happily offer interest-bearing finance at that kind of rate on a £500 65" set.  You wouldn't find it on something with the notional £1049 price of a 65" Glass though: unsurprisingly that would be about twice as much per month.

To all

I am persevering with Sky Glass via a puck. But now can't load Netflix programs - which i always could with Sky Q.

It amazes me that Sky can charge me for this, but my patience is running out.

Re: SkyGlass Awful

The "Ultra HD & Atmos" option refers only to Sky's own paid offering.

Without it, you TV will play 4K material from Iplayer, UHD Blu-Rays and Dolby Atmos sound from an Atmos capable player.

The top speakers play the rear channels of Dolby 5.1, but very quietly.
