Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@GuybrushThreepw I can't see how you can say that, as the advice provided had not previously been mentioned in the thread (about the other remote for example).

No, I think its posting for postings sake to "up" his level.
It's posting to say that no matter which provider is chosen, watching the same program on a Sky channel regardless of who the provider is will have the same Sky Mobile advert or the Sky Bet advert.
Also, some people might find the Sky Q remote not easy to use but might find the Sky Q accessable remote easier to use as it's larger with larger buttons.

Amazon Prime seems good enough for me. Loads and loads of films and interesting programs. Much much cheaper than Sky and no annoying adverts never mind repetitive ads each break.. The only problem is the remote is very basic but at least I get to watch something without the same loud annoying ad screaming in your ear 2 or3 times each ad break

Cannot afford Sky Q so just have Sky+. I have signed up for Amazon prime and so far so good so if I end my Sk contract will still use the box for 1 2 3 4 and channel 5 and Amazon Prime. Best bit will save over 20 quid a month and will not be driven insane.

Posting for postings sake? Can't you see how many people are annoyed at the stupid adverts 2 or 3 times every advert break?

It's only 2 times per ad break. Once when the ad break starts and once at the end. Unfortunately, there's nothing that can be done when watching live.
The solution (IMHO) is for Sky to change up the ad. The problem is that it's the same ad over and over.

@LGUser wrote:On Channel 4, it's the same sort of advert with Coors.
That Coors is the one that gets to me, if I'm watching live TV!

I have also seen the same ad in the middle of the ad break. Yes you are correct if they could be bothered rotating 3 or 4 different ads it would not be nearly so annoying but if it costs them money no chance of this

Bear in mind you won't be able to record any channel, unless you pay a monthly subscription.

Not too worried as long as i get all the films I need plus free Amazon deliveries, free books and free music for just £7.99 a month

Well I just cancelled my Sky. Way way too expensive, and that advert was the final nail in the coffin. Byeeee

I'v seen 3 ads every advert one at beginning one at end and one in middle, Highly annoying.

It seems a bit childish to cancel Sky foy an advert that doesn't even run for 30 seconds. You do realize, that if you join any other service that has the same Sky channels, you'll get the same Sky Mobile sdvert.

Why would I want sky channels ? And the advert is cancelworthy in my opinion. Cancelworthy is a new word I made up.

Because you want to watch programs that are only available on Sky.
