Hi does anyone know how to ask Sky for permission to use sound extracts of a TV programme (Sky football commentary ) for a short art/ documentary video?
Or know if permission is required?
BBC can be emailed and offer a link specficially for copyright questions and permissions. Does anyone know how to contact Sky for simiar advice?
The Sky football commentary extracts are all in one minute of the 25 minute video, in the background of clips that I videod while the TV was on ( the character is watching football on TV). The TV images are not visiible in the video but the commentary is audible and I would like to find a way to keep it in the video.
I should add that as fair use goes, this is is mild use. There is no sex and no violence or swearing or any other offesnsivnes in the video, either in the minute that includes the Sky football commentary or anywhere else
The video is made for art/ video/ documentary festival screenings and available online.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@month+of+rose Best thing to do is email viewer relations (viewerR@sky.uk) and ask the question to them
