Rubbish...the sky app is on the PS5...currently using it and it was there the minute I switched the console on for the first time

I have a ps5 and sky go isn't on there not happy with this as i work away a lot and normally watch sky go through the app on playstation.all you have is now TV which I believe you will have to pay for.

Got a PS5 on the way and nust wondering what's the quality like? Someone in the thread said fuzzer, is that fuzzier or a spellcheck error for better. I'm hoping better, the PS4 app doesn't look great.

Hey guys I've moved from PS4 to ps5, I've downloaded sky app. And installed it fine logged in but app tells me not part of my package so I can't watch anything except sky news, I've movies and sports packages, still works on PS4 but won't on ps5 any help please, even tried ringing sky yesterday on the Fone for 15mins and no answer, pretty much exhausted all options at this stage, don't understand why it won't work for me. Thanks.

Happening to me as well the image is very jittery awful when watching sport, seems to be a port as apps such as BT Sport have an option to switch between the PS4 and PS5 version and sky does not

The Sky Go app on PS4 is far superior in picture quality than the PS5.  Just tried watching the footy on PS5 on my OLED TV and quality is awful.  Blurry, jittery - even when fully buffered.  Looks almost SD.

Switched back to my PS4 and the quality is far superior.  Much clearer and looks around 720p to my untrained eye.

Are Sky going to produce a dedicated app for the PS5 hardware as the current one is not fit for purpose?

I can confirm that the picture quality is far inferior on the PS5 than on the PS4.    You can tell watching Sky Sports.   Looks HD on PS4, looks like SD terrestrial TV on PS5.

The video quality on the PS5 Sky app is awful! Watching football it looks like some sort of illegal stream from the early days of the internet. Come on Sky, you can do better than this.

Glad it isn't just me - granted my Sky Go app on PS5 refuses to even load the majority of the time.

The quality of especially the football streaming is awful. It is a glitchy SD stream just barely watchable. The app represents the company and the sub standard nature of the app does not look good for Sky. When all other streaming companies are producing quality streaming apps (BT, BBC iPlayer, Netflix, Amazon Prime, YouTube etc) why is Sky choosing to be at the bottom of that pile in terms of quality of the video output. Its a shame as the Sky Q quality is outstanding and one of the best in the industry. Come on Sky give us a Sky app we would enjoy using.

And when oh when can we get subtitles on the Sky Go app on PS5 .... SOOOO frustrating. My girlfriend will only watch Amazon or Netflix because the Sky app is so bad.

I've had a ps5 since launch day and I've been using sky go from day 1, anyone saying it's not there is just lazy. However I do agree that the app should support 4K. If Amazon Prime can stream in 4K there's no reason why sky can't. I've had many discussion with sky customer services about them still being stuck in the 90's and I can't see that changing anytime soon
