@Scottpat1978 wrote:With just the glass & 1 puck, it was running at 50-60MBPs according to my Wi-Fi app.
I'll have all pucks online later and will have a look then update.
How accurate is your wi-fi app? Don't these things typically measure the constant signal strength rather than the real-time data throughput?
I know that when I run an online BB speed checker it always gives me the same number, it being the strength of the signal coming into the router. And if I use a mobile device to measure wi-fi strength around the house, I think those numbers are also fairly constant, ie the full signal strength detectable in each spot.

Re: Sky Glass Delivered
I just checked the page using the infamous link.
1 glass and 4 pucks shows a minimum of 35mbps.
Thats obviously wrong but not sure if it goes through another check further in the process.

I think you can only stream simultaneously to a maximum of two pucks if you have only one Glass TV. So if Sky state 35Mbps for two pucks and one TV, it would still be 35Mbps if you ordered 10 pucks.

Sound & Picture on the Glass is decent - I had Sony 4K & Sony Soundbar before and the sound is definitely comparable. One thing I did note is that my advanced audio settings are unavailable as it says I have an external speaker connected - which I don't. I'll look into that more this evening.
Yeah I noticed that as well @Scottpat1978. Seems weird this setting cannot be amended if required.

Re: Sky Glass Delivered
I figured mine out thanks to another poster on the Forum. I have Apple TV plugged into HDMI2 (ARC) and with the 2 x HomePods I have in the room, it is thinking these are external speakers.
Check what you have plugged into HDMI2.

Re: Sky Glass Delivered
@TimmyBGood its FTTC my green cab is round the corner from the house. I had BT out a year ago as I'm on the 100mb guarantee. And it was meeting it after 6 months and was dropping to 75mb. They spent most of the day fixing some bits and since then it's been solid above 100mb.

So after two delivery dates and arriving about 40 mins after the scheduled slot, it took the drivers around 30 mins or so to install the TV into the stand. It didn't seem like a straightforward job either so glad it was done for us. The drivers were great and kept apologising for the delay, all to be expected with this being their first Sky Glass delivery. Just turned on and software update installing
Nice location @LynneD6983 . plenty of cupboard space to lose (I mean store) things in 😉

G.fast, I think. No FTTC has a 100Mbs guarantee because it can't get anywhere near there*

Re: Sky Glass Delivered
@mcskygo I like to play it safe with streaming we are pretty high usage in our home. My wife often works from home and is using video streaming etc and my eldest son studies at home a lot and he's on a digital media course. Personally despite what sky say I wouldn't have considered without FTTP mine runs consistently at 300mps.

Doesn't the upload speed play a part too? I thought every packet sent needed a confirmation of receipt before sending the next packet (or duplicating the unreceived one). If you hypothetically had 0Mbps upload speed then everything would fall over wouldn't it?

Re: Sky Glass Delivered
Having received the sky glass today as a brand new Sky customer I am impressed we couldn't get Sky because of the trees in the back garden so is a massive improvement from what we had. However I am highly confused with the recording if you want to call it that, I recorded something earlier for my TV well I added it to my playlist and when I went to watch it back it hooks into ITV hub. this is a pain as it's not proper HD and you have to mess about skipping through the multitude of adverts. I don't really know how to explain it but it's not like when I had sky years ago in it recorded the live broadcast it's looking into apps all the time.
My other problem is the content aggregation I did a search for a TV programme that I know to be on Amazon it did find it however 3 of the series were missing.
