Sky Bank Details

Hello Everyone At Sky!

 

I would like the details of sky banking to set up a direct debit with my bank, the bank to shows my direct debits on my banking app, But i cannot set this up without sky's banking details and i've phoned sky and they told me this is not their fault and it's the banks, the person would not provide me with the sky bank details to set up direct debit and also i've got direct debits set up but my bank it's not showing up in my bank account.

@MikeyStar  You don't setup a direct debit with your bank, you set it up with Sky directly, you can do this by logging into your sky account https://www.sky.com/help/diagnostics/change-your-payment-method-or-date/change-payment-method

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

@MikeyStar  You don't setup a direct debit with your bank, you set it up with Sky directly, you can do this by logging into your sky account https://www.sky.com/help/diagnostics/change-your-payment-method-or-date/change-payment-method

In fact, @MikeyStar,  yes, your bank cannot set up a direct debit at all. It's done by the Originator, which is Sky.

 

Banks can set up standing orders, but Sky won't allow you to pay that way.

Thank You @Mark39 you understand where I'm coming from I've had direct debits for ages but my bank hasn't set it up as a direct debit and sky told me it's the banks fault, then the bank said they need skys banking details which they don't provide. I dunno who to turn too. 😵💫

Can you not set the direct debit up via your online account here:

https://www.sky.com/myaccount/bill/change-payment-method

 

Usually that is all you need to do.

@MikeyStar just follow the link posted by @GD1 and enter your bank details. Sky will then set up the direct debit and pass on the details to your bank.

 

Your bank doesn't have to set anything up, or actually do anything except to accept the direct debit instructions given to them by Sky. The only proviso is that there are some types of account that banks won't accept direct debits for - typically savings accounts.

Thank You @GD1 & @Mark39 I Appreciate your input @caesarome I think I'll just have to wait and see if there are any changes on my banks side. Also I've set up the direct debit and from the first transaction it should of been done and dusted.
