I am having all the same problems you have all outlined. I gues it is just a matter of waiting for the fix.  I think SKY should give us some compensation,   say not charge us until the problem is fixed

That reset option seemed to have worked, it's still a little slow to switch on with the remote for some strange reason taking a couple of presses to work and I know the remote works as it controls volume and channel selection.

Was a Glass customer switched back to Sky Q with full package, and maintaining Diamond membership with over 23 years with Sky. Sky Glass is not a patch on Sky Q - I kept the Sky Glass TV and now, finally, my Q remote operates volume on the Glass TV after waiting 7 months for a pairing code!

So my other puck  has now done the same thing. Told to try powering off, holding the power button under the puck (never noticed that!) and powering back on. Bingo! I get to the start up screen, however I not cannot pair the remote. Oddly it's also mentioning skyq!

I had nothing but problems with SKY Q boxes and was glad to get rid of them.  The puck I think is an improvemnet and if they could get rid of this pausing and black screen problem I would be very happy. Come on SKY get it sorted.

@discodancersThank god somebody else has this this is what mine says and it has a flashing orange and red light on the puck where usually you would have a white light

That orange.and red light is the result of you probably holding in the power button while putting the power plug into the back? That's a reset option and it should then go to a blue screen on tv being the start of the pairing of the puck? Mine then was paired with my subscription I had to go to https://sky.com/activate now on either mobile or pc on same network to complete the pairing .

Strange! I had a re to go online to the web address I offered earlier but that was with reference to the pairing of the puck to Sky Glass. You are right to wonder why on earth it mention SkyQ, I have no idea !!

I had this on one my pucks and got my sky q remote which got me through the next few tabs to do a software update. once puck powered up again i paired the puck's remote again

they say they are calling me tomorrow. I have also raised a complaint about the farce that is paying £50 for a new puck then sending the broken one back and getting a refund. Ridiculous
