Re: Puck problems

Yes I am!! Ours is in main bedroom and it takes an age to switch it on! The remote does not work although once it is on the remote is fine.

I have to stand there holding the power button down for minutes on end and eventually it switches on - bloody frustrating!!!

Was a Glass customer switched back to Sky Q with full package, and maintaining Diamond membership with over 23 years with Sky. Sky Glass is not a patch on Sky Q - I kept the Sky Glass TV and now, finally, my Q remote operates volume on the Glass TV after waiting 7 months for a pairing code!

Re: Puck problems

Just had a very weird Puck problem...

Wanted to continue watching Chernobyl in bed ... it's in my playlist and I have watched up to Episode 4. Powered up my bedroom puck, all looked fine, live TV working, TV guide working but no Playlist option. So I used the voice remote and said "Chernobyl" and it came up with a list of the programmes but NOT the series. So went into the 'TV Series' link, found Chernobyl, clicked on it and it came up with a message "No programmes of this type found"! Weird.

Rebooted the Puck ... all back to normal, playlist is there and I can play out the episode I want.

Just another quirky bug that hopefully will be fixed in an update. 😬

Re: Puck problems

Sky glass working ok,but my puck packed in after 1 day, phoned sky the lady was very helpful done all the resets etc,but couldn't get it to work,so said she'd send me another puck, but it seems there's no procedure for this,so I had to buy a new one at £50 and they would refund me money after 3 to 5 days, this seems a totally inadequate way to resolve an issue with something on warranty.

Re: Puck problems

I'm pretty damn sure I would have told Sky to send another first then I would return the defective one. Why should you have to lay money out again for a replacement as a loyal customer?

By the way when I bought my Sky Glass package on launch day, 18/10, I was NOT charged for my luck! I didn't need to ask they simply said 1st Puck was free, so why the inconsistency?

My TV has settled down well and is working fine, although the Puck is still not easy to switch on either with its remote or at the button underneath.

They are aware - I've had all these issues too.

Re: Puck problems

yeah the puck problems need some serious attention to get them sorted.

rebooting more than once a day at the moment to resolve the following issues temporarily.

intermittent black screen with live broadcast

slow motion for a few seconds until it sorts itself out, happens every hour or so.

what seems like hdmi handshake issues.

I've rebooted 3 times today to sort blank screen issues for example.

surely this would have been discovered in testing! But hopefully they get some firmware updates out asap to resolve,

@Geayson the puck is not detecting the remote most likely cause is that theprotective paper covering the bsttery terminals has bot been removed slide the back off and check the batteries. This help page explains more about the remotes https://www.sky.com/help/home/sky-tv/sky-tv-glass/fixing-a-problem-sky-glass/fixing-sky-glass-remote...

@Geayson check you are definitely using the correct remote for the puck - they are easy to confuse. If you are try the following recovery procedure.

Switch off the power at the plug for 30 seconds then reconnect the power while holding down the physical power button on the puck for 20 seconds. If the puck misbehaves after thst call Sky to get it replaced.

Re: Puck problems

@ChriseeIll try the other remote control but all others are working at the moment though. I have never seen a flashing orange and red light on anything before (as an epileptic) it's like the puck is having a seizure
