I was watching mtv 80s. Put the football on for a bit, realised why I decided not to watch the football. Choose MTV 80s from the continue watching rail and it's in a totally different place and won't rewind...

Since the introduction of the new format playlist it has improved but it still has work to be done on it for sure. I'd say for me there is now about 80% accuracy.

My beef of late is the number of programmes missing from search to add to playlist, what is it with Discovery plus is it not part of the search facility?

Also Netflix, given up trying to use that with Sky and use my Apple TV works each and everytime - Sky!

@Anonymous the "continue watching on Netflix" once you click into playlist seems pretty solid for me. It's weird sometimes that when you add a Netflix programme to Netflix it just opens Netflix instead. Just had that with The Last Kingdom.

Where I'm at is that Sky Stream is very much attempting to deliver how I want to consume TV and I really just want them to fix some of the obvious seemingly simple issues.

Having said that, if they'd just released a Sky app on AppleTV with 4K/HDR and Apple's "up next" support, I'd just use that.

Haha sorry, I can only speak from my experience. For what I watch it's definitely better than where it was. I do hope Sky watch this forum as it's invaluable feedback. If I was running their dev team, I'd literally just use this forum to create their backlog!

Well I agree if Apple had Freeview Play then Stream would struggle I'd ditch Sky, the Sky Go app on Apple is also poor. Yes I'd take out Now TV for the Sky stuff but that's OK.

I don't think it will happen as I've said before I suspect Comcast and Apple have some agreement so Sky market share is not damaged.

@CardiffMan1992 @Jporch316 things will change in the coming years as Sky lose content directly to the providers and they launch their own apps.  So to retain subscriptions they may need to improve their own app.

I was watching an episode of a Sky Witness programme just now and stopped watching about halfway through to take the dogs out.

When I came back about 10 minutes later the programmes was at the front of the "Continue Watching" rail as it should be.  I selected it to continue but it started at the beginning of the programme again.  I then went to the Playlist and selected it from there and it started exactly where I had left off.

I am wondering if there some sort of time delay for the continue watching rail which does not have an effect on the playlist?

24H in Police Custody, CH4.  Was in my playlist, new episode broadcast but didn't move to front of rail.

Started watching to force it onto continue watching rail.  Went to watch it last night but it had disappeared from the continue watching rail!

As it currently stands, I'm still having to manually check through everything on the playlist on the off chance there's a new series or episode!  Although it's working for some things it's still a poor show from Sky at the moment!

Exactly the same behaviour for me last night with the same programme.

C4 24hrs same here. I think may be wrong but the current season is 10 but C4 has a season 13 which is a one off special on the All4 app.

I suspect season 13 is throwing out the algorithm for the new season 10.  This is a shortcoming in the software.

Sky team what is happening with the playlist and continue watching rail? The playlist rail was annoying to begin with because it put any program you started watch whether it was on the list or not.  Now it does that but doesn't had new episodes of the playlist programs.  I have had to use another website to find out when programs series are restarting because I have missed some programs. Why can't there be a rail for playlist programs only and why can't there be some notification as to how many episodes you've got left to watch? I mean you don't even have the facility to delete programs from the rail!? I have been with SkY for so long and this seemed a good idea at first but I think it's time to start looking at other options if this is not fixed.  I have done so many survey mentioning these problem but it seems no one is listening. I see from the discussions I am not the only one.  Pls can this be sorted out.
