Re: New Update is now out.

Re: New Update is now out.

Regarding my issue about the WiFi enabled puck not restarting from standby - actually think this is the pucks not returning from normal standby

Kitchen (WiFi) TV power isn't operated by the puck so the TV remote is usually used to turn the TV off, when I remember to turn the puck off too it seems to wake okay.

Bedroom TV (Ethernet) puck does turn the TV off so I usually tap the power button on the bedroom Puck.

If you wake them up and get the message

"It looks like you've left the room. Because we're all about saving energy - we'll be net zero ca about to put your TV into standby mode. Pick up your remote now to stop this." it fails to respond to button presses, but voice control works. If you say standby it then becomes impossible to wake!

Seems like auto standby breaks button control - the home screen screensaver will still kick in, but that message remains stuck on screen, if you say a channel number i switches to the channel with the message stuck

Overnight standby is off, Networked Standby is on. Don't think either are respected as the pucks drop off the network when not in use / put in standby.

Re: New Update is now out.

"not returning from normal standby" should be "not returning from automatic standby"

Re: New Update is now out.

Hello, anyone else having issues with the TV not picking up any HDMI inputs? My TV isn't recognising my Firestick since the software update. Tried turning it off/on etc to no avail.

Thanks

Had that tonight. Power reboot sorted it out.

@paulfscott

Have you pull the plug and leave out for 30 mins.

When you plug it in it will download the bits it has missed.

Hopefully that will cure it

New issue for me: using YouTube on the Puck for any longer than a few minutes crashes the Puck completely, requiring a power off/restart to fix it.

Re: New Update is now out.

The apps have had a few issues, Netflix more recently would crash out to the home screen after prolonged play.

I would get it reported otherwise the app will just keep causing these issues.

Re: New Update is now out.

@Dazzar51  Netflix is my main gripe too, I've been on to sky with it the last few day's but as usual they blamed

1) router

2) ethernet Cable

3) Internet Connection

After hours of talking they scratched their heads and said ring in.

Sadly the chat operators don't even understand the product themselves, during my conversation I was asked if I had downloaded a film or watched it live ?!

Netflix along with alot of other stuff is just buggy at the min

Re: New Update is now out.

@Dazzar51  I have this periodically, particularly with ITV.

Re: New Update is now out.

I've had a few picture freezes on the puck today....even after a reboot and on multiple channels.

Worst day for it since the update.

Re: New Update is now out.

Hi All

New update for what?

And why have I not heard direct from SKY about this?

Why aren't there any instructions/guidance coming through to SKY GLASS customers?

It's not too much to ask is it?

We are muddling along with ours - no puck(s) just 55" in one room.

We have had the feeze and the not going on etc - switch off, unplug, has worked.

Tonight is said no internet when there was.

Teething?

As said, what is (are) the update(s) and should we be doing those?

Bit confused and cross at lack of direct guidance from SKY itself; they are taking my money after all.

Thanks.
