My name is spelt wrong when sending ails

Every time I send an email my name is spelt wrong, it comes up as Maryln but it should be Marilyn. Don't know how this happened but I can't seem to change it back to the correct spelling.  I have gone on to the yahoo email app but it tells me to log in to yahoo on sky. I have tried to do this but it just says that o can no longer set up a yahoo account? 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

@MARILYN26  Ae you using a Sky.com email account?

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

If you are talking about the name that precedes the @sky.com in your email address, you can't change that.

If you mean name associted with the email address you can change it by loging in here: https://skyid.sky.com/signin/email, and going to Settings - More Settings - Mailboxes and selecting your Sky mailbox. There you can change the name.

Yes. 

Above my email address my name is spelt wrong. 

I have Maryln but it should be Marilyn and then my email address is xxxxx.xxxx@sky.com. 

Sorry, didn't want to put my actual email on here and hope this reply makes sense

Thank you  I've tried that. I've also tried it on chrome and explorer but getting the same message. I'll try on my laptop instead of my phone now. Thanks so much for trying to help.

It's just I can't understand why that link would take you to "You can no longer create a new sky email" if you are using a valid Sky email address to sign in.

Have you possibly got more than one Sky account?

If you sign in here: https://www.sky.com/myaccount/my-details does it show your Sky email anywhere?

And if you go to the drop down arrow in the top right hand corner is your Sky ID the bit before @sky.com in your address?

If it is does selecting Yahoo Mail from that menu take you to your email?

OK so I was using the wrong email address to sign in. My Sky account is logged under a gmail account so I have followed the steps you gave me- THANK YOU - and I have managed to change the name on my laptop so my display name is now correct, However, when I send an email on my android it is still displaying Maryln. 

So in short, it is correct on my laptop but not on my Samsung S20 Ultra android phone.  I have restarted the phone but to no avail. Thank you for being so helpful, I think I may have to try and reinstall the app on my phone
