Messing with box

Hello, just like to know if anyone else have had this problem, Sky + box from time to time starts playing up things that happen, unable to get certain channels at present sky one .

Have tried resetting box on many occasions but still says unable to connect no satellite signal  for this channel!, but my query is as before in the post I received a letter asking to take out insurance for sky equipment ( do sky mess around with signals to get people to take this insurance out) have had this before beginning to annoy me now, anyone had this before.

Nope, the insurance is run by Domestic & General
