Re: Many problems with Sky glass

I am quite techy. Sky Glass is dead full. We have regrettably removed our dish assuming Sky glass was properly beta tested and ready to go. It's clearly not.  Rang sky and all they said it's probably our broadband. It's NOT !  We have super fast broadband, 900mbps down and about 120 mbps up.  Our WiFi is awesome delivering at least 500mbps in each room we have the glass or a PUK.  it freezes, it drops out, it looses sync, it says no internet, it won't load, it's super unresponsive, switches itself off etc etc.  I also have a Peloton bike and Peloton tread, both require strong broadband for their hi def stream programmes........never ever fail, never ever freeze, never ever drop out, lose sync so I can 100% say it's sky glass.  Total nightmare.  Very very unimpressed.

Re: Many problems with Sky glass

Yer before replacing the glass they should recommend factory reset if it don't work they not lost anything!  We had 7-10 days + problems and they gave up and set out replacement that was smashed  so they said would be another 7-10 without properly working glass 😡 but after factory reset solved most of our problems just couldn't activate the tv again as it was Pending return but  had to wait nearly a week of them to cancel the status on our account and then tv works 99% ok so if they had done factory reset as last resort our problems would be fixed in hours not 14+ days !  🤔🤨😡🧐😱  . This needs to change

Re: Many problems with Sky glass

So fed up not being able to fast fwd the ads on itv and ch4. Also, not being able to delete things from playlist is just insane. In so disappointed with Sky. Plus Glass is very slow to respond, looses sync, shotchrs off on its own and as for the PUk'a they are even worse.

Re: Many problems with Sky glass

I am having the same problem dispite this is a new replacement 65" received last Saturday - after the first one broke down - and one was without a tv for a week.

I am so frustrated - and annoyed, keep having to switch it off from the main - also the pluck is having the same problem and then waiting for over 10 mins - and then it goes again !
Wholly Smoke!

The colour of black people is ridiculous despite all the many changes - but yet it is ok on my 70in smart tv in my bedroom.

I don't know how long I am going to put up with this - I will give it up until Xmas, as I can't wait or put up with this much longer.

This seems like a lot of money for rubbish!
Are we paying to test out a product that hasn't been truly tested before going to market ?
I am one angry person!

Re: Many problems with Sky glass

Well after receiving numerous issues with the Tv and the picture quality being awful, I've now excercised my right to return it. I'll be going back to SkyQ UHD, this Tv was a very poor effort from Sky and must be an embarrassment for such a big company.

Re: Many problems with Sky glass

I have the same problem, utter rubbish, should have just brought a tried and tested smart tv , less hassle.

Re: Many problems with Sky glass

I'm sure they will solve eventually, but between Sky Glass and the dreadful PUKS I'm really unimpressed. Today they were going to replace my glass, but I turned it away.......I found out they are not new replacements, but refurbished Sky Glass...totally.....not acceptable.

I would suggest the issues we are all experiencing, are both firmware and software problems which they need to get right and super fast !  How they launched something this important for Sky, that was clearly not robustly tested, totally baffles me !  So many firmware and software issues ! Plus image quality is not right !  Come on Sky, get this sorted and super fast or I feel legal action coming on.

Re: Many problems with Sky glass

Was it obvious the replacement was a refurbishment? Or was it a customer return? Either way this should not be the remedy, as this kit is sold new and for purchase. Pretty shabby.

Re: Many problems with Sky glass

Either way, unacceptable.  Mine is 4 weeks old and keeps failing.......

Re: Many problems with Sky glass

With the problems I was experiencing- I spoken to sky yesterday to try and remedy these .

I am sure these so-called sky's representative I spoken to haven't got a clue - going from one person to another to seek their assistance (while on hold) is a joke.

After a complete taking down of the tv - back through everything possible- the bloody tv is still having the problems.

This pluk in the bedroom is a joke ----- you got to keep getting out of bed and switching it off from the main to obtain service........

Am I one of their Guinea pigs?

Well I am not going to play their games with this so-called tv......

Thanks to many on here - I just discovered they are still  charging me £5.00 I was paying for sky HD sports.....  Give me a break -----

very disappointed customer.
