@Joe-Bow  This is the same for me, I used start from beginning but it booted me to news.

Sky need this bringing to there attention as it seems pointless if that's how it should work!

Re: Many problems with Sky glass

I'm having the exact same issues as others it would seem.

The tv actually comes on as the standby light goes off but the screen doesn't activate. If i then say "hello sky play channel ....." the tv will emit sound but still no picture.

This TV was clearly not ready for release yet and more testing was clearly needed. Not had chance to call sky about this but it's a poor effort from Sky.

@hendryblair  Be thankful that sky Q is sticking around and you've been able to take that back up as it's clearly the best product Sky have to offer you at the moment.

Re: Many problems with Sky glass. got Sky Glass on 17th November it keeps losing internet connect

Sky glass keeps losing internet connection, it pause, it jumps, puck works then it doesn't. Runs slow. I have the fastest virgin media internet really getting frustrated now

Re: Many problems with Sky glass

Really disappointed with Sky Glass. Regular issues including :
- picture freezing

- latency issues, picture stops, speeds up etc.

- can turn on the next day and it is stuck on the day before's programmes

- blank screen and 'you need to upgrade

your subscription.
- more customer friction, i.e. numbers of clicks to get to / change programme

All the above Then lead to a painful delay of resetting.

I have fibre broadband aswell. I feel like I'm a tester for a pre-launch.

@Sheardy it is frustrating but having fast internet is useless if the wifi signal in your home is not fast enough and free from interference. Sky Glass is really sensitive to substandard network connection. Ideally use ethernet connections if you want to use UHD or perhaps powerline adapters that carry the signal over your mains wiring. Failing that think about a whole home wifi mesh solution. Virgin and Sky routers for that matter really are not up to the job unfortunately.

My own system streams smoothly and since the firmware update without significant bugs I am not being smug simply pointing out that the system can work with a good connection.

Re: Many problems with Sky glass

I'm having constant issues myself.  I'm playing the long game, hoping sky bring new firmware for it but atm it's driving me nuts. The wife is having more frustration with it as she works from home.  But issues I'm coming across is poor HD quality, my TV is connected through ethernet with 200mb broadband. I've also ported the connection so bandwidth priority goes to TV. Channel freezes, have to go next channel then back to original. Audio goes out of sync, this happens more on puck.  I don't if it's remote or pick but It seems to take forever for puck to power on.  Random TV shows or films get added to my playlist.  And why oh why do we not have recorded programs.  I don't want to use the iPlayer or itv hub etc. Pointless.  I wanted to watch F1 which I missed the first 30 mins of.  Had to wait atleast 2 hours for it be available on my playlist. Ridiculous.

@Sheardy Checkout Orbi, Deco, Eero or Asus as as a start.  There are others but this is just a few for you to read about first of all.

If you're with BT they have a whole home offering too that works in the same way.

Drx-890W (4f3127, Secondary, 2TB, Active Mode, Hardwired, S.F. Mode)
