Oddly, mine was fine yesterday and now it's playing up again for some reason, call to Sky may be on the cards

Mines been ok since the reset sky told me to do.
Turn main box off
Hold power button
Turn box on and hold until it does a 2 stage software update.
Apparently it's not the same as doing the software update via the settings interface.
You don't lose any settings or
programs.

Did the same this morning and it 'seems' to have been OK today, although been out for a chunk of it so not used it much but then again it used to lock when I'd not used it so................. keeping my fingers crossed

Just woken up to the main box sounding like it about to take off. Fans on full blast and the entered system tended useless once again. Calling out sky to get the box replaced.

@Voyager... Nothing wrong with your box mine has done that on a few occasions never had the box replaced.
Powered the box of fully at the mains waited 30 seconds then powered back on all working as it should
Nothing stopping it from happening to your replacement box but each too their own I guess.

I had Q since day 1 and know its peculiarities.
Normally I do as you say and power off the box about once a month. Since the 170 update a few days ago I am having to do it every 20 mins to an hour!
I spent 70 mins on the phone to sky support on Friday and they said it the same thing happens again they are replacing the box. Their suggestion, not mine.

Hi @Voyager...
Mine is back doing the same thing today 😞 may have to give Sky a call at some point.
Just one question though, as much as I did the two stage software update on the main box I didn't do anything to the Mini Box, do you need to do it to that too?
Just trying to think of anything to try before I have the absolute joy (LOL) of speaking to Sky

Is it only me then that's getting the 'This program is no longer available' message since the box has updated to Q170?
the only way around this seems to be to completely remove power from the box, once it's back the programs in the planner are fine, there doesn't appear to be a time window between reboots at the moment. The other thing to note is that if it's 'frozen' and needs a complete 13amp reset, this will impact anything you have scheduled in your planner.
my box is 32B064
I'm not sure how replacing the box will fix the issue unless it's completely different, but I can't see that there are multiple 2TB boxes, so it can't be different.
On a side note, I wonder if they've fixed the 'Network problem' that stops you watching anything recorded if the 2TB planner is more than 50% full?! 😉

Rebooted my box an hour ago.
Sitting in the living room. TV off. Q in standby. Chatting to friends.
Now out of the blue the fans in the Q box are running at full tilt and the box is stuck in standby.
Another power-cycle is now required....

I thought that I'd got away with it today, the recording in my planner started playing as normal, but then froze after a couple of minutes, and when it did respond it came up with the 'This program is no longer available' message and a complete power removal and restart was required to get it back.
im now wondering if I have to go back to the bad old days of Sky+ when I had to connect my box to a timer and reset the power daily to make sure it works through the critical part of the evening?!

I've set my Q up via a remove power socket. Since 170 update I'm cycling the socket every couple of hours.
