Have a reminder function for programmes

I think the reason for not bringing it back could be what somebody else has already suggested. Since you have to record a program instead of just getting a reminder and maybe not watching it. Once its been recorded it could count towards viewing stats regardless of whether it is actually watched or just deleted. So Skys audience viewing figures could be exaggerated.

I don't want to record everything, I just want a reminder to pop up for a programme I might want to watch.

I think a reminder option would be great, as this would prevent my kids from recording every episode of a program by accident.

Maybe allow the reminders to be selectively set on individual boxes or multiple/all as an option.

This really needs to be added now as Sky Q has been around for 4 years, and I really think this would have been a useful function right from the start!

sky Q needs a reminder option.

Sometimes u want to watch an event ie football and you don't want to record it

Why not allow a future programme to be selected, when watching another channel, for the Sky Q box to switch over to the preselected programme at the time it starts. So much easier than having to set an alarm on my phone, to remind me to switch over manually.

I only got sky q on Wednesday and I have to say I really miss reminders I dont want to record everything

I am so disappointed that SkyQ does not have the REMINDER FUNCTION. As other people have said I chose SkyQ expecting it to be better and more advanced. I would also say the price I was told when I ordered it has now crept up having been assured that it would stay at that price. On querying this I was just fobbed off.  Very very disappointed with Sky and thinking of leaving. I have been a very loyal customer for in excess of 15 years.

Can't believe there is no reminder function on Sky Q! Listen to your customers Sky.

It must be possible to implement this - even if it is only for those without mini-boxes - there must be a large majority of viewers with only one Sky Q box.

Had SKY HD box for past 10 years or more - Used the reminder function all the time...

Got ''upgraded'' to Sky Q yesterday - bang where's the reminder function? 
Oh its gone - **bleep**!

Please bring it back PDQ - I would never had changed plans had I known...

Also the programme guide planner on the old format was so simple now its very messy

We've had Sky Q a few months and miss the reminder function. The most iritating thing though is getting it to start up. Sometimes it comes up straight away but very often it's either a blue screen or picture with no sound. We have to select another TV input, then go back to HDMI-1 and hope it starts. It may take 10-12 goes to get sound and picture. Never had this problem with Sky+. It seems to be a compatability problem with my TV which is about 6 years old now. But the old Sky worked fine so this is a Sky problem. Once up and running its fine.

We do record more programs concurrently now and that is a boon. The menus are fiddly and slower to use than Sky+ but you get used to it.
