Re: Have a reminder function for programmes

I am absolutely livid about this function being removed. If the guy who fitted the box today would have told me this function was not available, i would have told him where to take his box. I am genuinely fuming over this. **bleep** is Sky thinking.  All singing and dancing and taking out the basics.. I am ready to call them back in and get my old box fitted. So angry

Re: Have a reminder function for programmes

Let's face it - Sky don't give a toss about putting the reminder function on SkyQ.  If they wanted to then they would have done so already.

Re: Have a reminder function for programmes

I have had SkyQ removed and now have Sky HD and multi room, it all works so much better, no internal net work error and the live sport I pay extra for, I now get reminders ... if more people have Q removed , they may actually listen.

you just tell them not suitable for purpose...

Re: Have a reminder function for programmes

I have just phoned and am cancelling my Sky q I am not prepared to pay when SKY is not listening. It has to be one of the most basic easy functions but a vital one for a lot of us. Whoever thought it would be a good idea to remove it needs to be sacked because it is obvious they haven't a clue. I am very angry about this. The time I have spent trying to get through to some semblance of customer service to get this done is nothing more than a disgrace and all this "because of COVID " becoming more unacceptable as an excuse not to be able to contact them. It's an advanced technology company for christ sake.

Re: Have a reminder function for programmes

Hello Oxstead  I can understand your decion but Sky won't be to worried about it believe Me

I have been with them since the beginning of digital  & have spoken to many engineers over

The last 18 months since l changed to sky Q and they have ideas that they want to implement

And the reminder tab is not one of them they just don't get it

Like all large company's the feedback is just a stunt to make you believe you have some input but

You don't they only action things they want , So this creates some turnover but with the offers they make available to new customers they gain more then they lose long standing customers always always end up paying more you only have to look at energy, insurance ,mobile phone etc

What we should do is swap between suppliers for all our services & keep doing it every time a contract comes to an end but it's a pain in the Ar... so most most of us including Me just don't bother .   Sorry

Just a Thought ..............Enjoy your Sunday  .......🎈

Re: Have a reminder function for programmes

I used to come home from work scan the programmes for the night and set reminders ..now I have Q  the whole menu concept is mad ..no reminders function ..no bbc side bar text  a back up button which doesn't back up even the channel page is wierd..I only changed because my old HD box was playing up and I wanted to utilise my new Utd tv  ...can I change back please..I just wish I had known how restrictive and complicated the concept of Q is ..

Re: Have a reminder function for programmes

I'd like to add my voice to this even though Sky aren't listening.

A major part of Sky's business is LIVE SPORT for which people pay a fortune and want to watch LIVE; are we just supposed to remember every match that's on, at what time and on which channel? Sky say the reminder function was being used less but why remove a feature that’s getting used, even if it’s not “as much”? Especially as it's not a massive, complex feature.

It's a backwards step alongside other nice little features of my old Sky+ HD box.

Re: Have a reminder function for programmes

I liked the reminder service, used it a lot. Think it should still be a feature.

Re: Have a reminder function for programmes

Just got Sky Q. Gutted that I can't use reminder function. I don't want to record everything, HD was better. Just want to be reminded of a program to maybe watch.!!
