Just seen that hdr is available for this weekend practices and race. Looking forward to seeing the cars in hdr this season and hopefully will look better than football does at times

Who gets the feeling this thread will go the same way as the football one has ? lmao
We are certainly expecting a new set of customers coming here after finding their TV might not be set up properly or capable of a bright enough image with the HDR feed.

Hi @Kodibhoy
Certainly no UHD HDR showing here. Only UltraHD. (UHD)
Where did you see that HDR was available?

Sky's mistake probably... Probably mean Ultra HD rather than Ultra HDR (which isn't really a thing )

Hi @Kodibhoy
If you select any of the F1 events and then other showings or All Formats if shown none of them say HDR ; only UHD
We'll have to see on the day
It only shows UHD for the upcoming premier league games which we know are in HDR

The HDR Rail for Sky Cinema is notoriously unreliable. Half the things on it don't have HDR and some are even only in HD, let alone UHD.

Sky do not provide the broadcast for F1 but FOM and it is in UHD not HDR. As far I understand it BT Sport provide HDR football broadcasts, again not Sky.

Sky have confirmed the F1 will be in HDR (as well as UHD) this season.
(EPL football has been in HDR for a while now)

HDR woo woo!

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreIt had better be. I just signed up for F1 based on this thread. UHD was no longer new and shiny enough to extract my wallet.

Hopefully all the HLG issues that have plagued what Sky Italia has been broadcasting for past 3 seasons have been resolved unless they've decide to stick with "fake" HDR as a resolution.
