Eurosport 4K listings

I expect there will be "teething" problems that will hopefully be sorted out by the time the main events start.  I'm waiting for the "why is the picture so dark?" and "The colour looks oversaturated on my TV".

In theory the same UHD feed should carry the SDR and HDR/HLG content as HLG was designed to do.  It was the colour space I.e. rec.709 for SDR and rec.2020 for HDR that caused Sky to list two different options for on demand content.

Not the best start! Watching GB vs Chile now on Eurosport and no sign at all of UHD? Disappointing...

Also saying "Olympics" into the remote no longer gives the Tokyo 2020 landing page? Just generic programs?

UHD and HDR working now on the Sweden USA game 👍 looking very nice indeed... Interestingly there's no HDR tag in the listing but I can clearly see its HDR and my TV is flagging it so as well 👍

There's no HDR tag for live content currently but it's something we're looking to add in the future.

Should I be seeing a dedicated UHD channel? Currently all I see in the TV guide is the extra HD channels.

@ianhrp2018  No dedicated channel in the EPG, Voice search with UHD will return all UHD Olympic listings.

It works the same way as for the prem football and cricket where it you can either double click the ok button or press red or it sometimes prompts you.  The trouble with Eurosport is that you get different content in UHD than what you are watching in HD.  E.g. the GB/Chile match in HD makes way for USA/Sweden in UHD/HLG.

Unless there have been extra UHD transponders available, I think there is a maximum of two with a third as backup?  I assume Sky will still be using some for thier own prgramming.

I have managed to find it by voice searching UHD, I still don't understand why sky seem to hide live UHD broadcasts, when not list them in the Sports section (not the EPG but dedicated sports menu) so they are easy to see. Most people would not know to voice search UHD content and as this is one of the selling points of the SkyQ boxes you think they would be shouting loudly about it. 
Anyway managed to watch a few minutes and picture quality is very good.

Excellent picture so far on the UHD HDR Eurosport broadcast. A good bitrate too, it seems - my Samsung can sometimes not like football movement but it looks clear on Eurosport.

I had to turn the HLG Gamma down from 3 to zero for Eurosport (the BBC iPlayer HLG gamma is better on 3 for my TV), and the picture is crisp and immersive.

Agree, so far the pq of the Eurosport HDR/HLG has been excellent.
Both my recordings too from this morning have been perfect.

The football stadiums have certainly also show off the extra 3d effect that HDR/HLG adds over UHD.
