Eurosport 4K listings

Hi all

Stumbled across Eurosports 4K coverage of the Wimbledon ladies final today, had no idea they were showing it in 4k! No commentary though which is a bit weird?! 

Does anyone know of listing that show what Eurosport are scheduling in 4k?

Hi @London+Town   Home -> Sports -> Live Sport This Week and any particular sport like Tennis.

Eurosport in the UK only had rights for the finals and the mens' final is in UHD tomorrow via Sky.

Their 4K channel is not generally available in UK.

@ozsat  The latest SkyQ update 160 included something to allow Eurosport's Olympic coverage in UHD, so I assume that will be via SkyQ?

The Olympics will be in UHD with HDR on Eurosport.

Fair comment @Stephen+Mourton Q160 has only been available since June/July 2021 to address the sound dropout issues on the V3 boxes.

Eurosport 4K channel has been available on Sky Q since  May 2018.

It is only a very few events that get shown on Eurosport 4K via Sky - if fact so far nothing more than French Open Tennis I think.

There is a more extensive Eurosport 4K service which is not available in the UK.

The Q160 update is to enable live UHD/HDR in readiness for the Olympics.

Hi, Anyone else getting ( no programmes currently being broadcast on this channel ), when trying to watch the Men's Wimbledon Final in UHD on channel 411. Thanks

Yes.

Put the UHD men's final down to record without issue but came home to no recording light.

Press to watch the UHD broadcast on Eurosport 2 and just get a blue screen with "nothing is broadcasting on this channel".

Same here - both for the recording set yesterday, and in pressing the red button live on channel 411 - which shows that it should be there.

The UHD Eurosport feed has just kicked into life for me and started recording (although it says it started at 1.30 PM).

@NewtonBoy It's a good job that the Tokyo 2020 Olympics weren't cancelled altogether or we would be waiting for the Winter Olympics in Beijing 2022 or even the Summer Olympics in Paris 2024 for the delayed Q160 to solve the V3 sound dropout issues.

What has the Olympics got to do with UHD/HDR and the Q160 update or did I miss that memo?

I've been paying for UHD since March 2016 Sky's first 4K broadcast was August 2016

2TB boxes in flavours V1 (UHD) V2 (UHD/HDR)

V3 (UHD/HDR)

An update in May 2020 for the long awaited HDR to be enabled on the V2 and V3 boxes

I've been watching Live F1 in glorious UHD since 2018 when I upgraded my tv to 4K that was well before Q160 update.

Sky don't have the rights to televise the 2020 Olympics that's down to BBC and via the Iplayer app hopefully in HDR/HLG

Q160 supposedly tweaked something that will allow us to view LIVE transmissions of events from the Olympics in UHD with HDR.

Pre-Q160 all HDR content had to be downloaded or streamed via apps.
