@Skyuser1981 It would really help if you indicated who or what you were replying to on your posts. Either by quoting the post you're replying to or using @ and the user name at the start.

Re: Epgservices sky never miss
I don't even watch RTÉ but at least they are making an effort to acknowledge other broadcasters https://www.rte.ie/entertainment/2020/0624/1149177-whats-on-20-top-telly-tips-for-wednesday-june-24/
I don't watch BBC simply because Sky don't promote it and in ROI we can't acces iPlayer so if we miss something that's it. I know for a fact I definitely had Gentleman Jack down on my Never Miss. And random shows like Give My Head Peace.
Never Miss also used to send reminders about ITV shows and although ITV is only available through "Other Channels" in ROI, Virgin Media here show about 90% of their shows.
Not to mention all the Channel 4 shows and Comedy Central Shows which were on my Never Miss. Catch up is all well and good but it's nice to watch new series from other broadcasters too.

Excellent news from Geektown
They have an A to Z page of TV Series so, while long-winded, you can work your way through them and add the series you want to your email notification.
Just to point out a couple of differences from the Sky Never Miss.
The email will come when Geektown find out about the air date of a show - so it's likely this will be over 7 days away and you won't be able to put it into the Planner straight away.
Consequently, any show that already has this information on Geektown (eg FBI, NCIS New Orleans) won't now send an email for the new series.

Re: Epgservices sky never miss
According to my recent twitter conversation with Sky:
"Never Miss was a useful feature for it's time. As we move forward with the changes to the way everyone now watches TV, Never Miss has become redundant. Series Link, Top Picks, Catch Up, On Demand and our website will all hold the same info found on Never Miss."
Sky (apparently) feels that users having to continually check the New Series page of the epg is a better user experience than simply adding shows to a list and then being informed automatically when it was due to start / return for a new series.. Yes - Series Link, Top Picks, Catch Up, On Demand and the website all contain the same information found on Never Miss, but what Series Link, Top Picks, Catch Up, On Demand and the website DO NOT do is actively inform you that a show you want to watch is returning.

Re: Epgservices sky never miss
I'd say go with what you think will work best and then see what feedback you get.
Different people will want different things from it. Personally, I'm happy being notified in advance and setting my own reminder for a week before. The Option 3 idea, might catch someone out if the series starts Monday and the email only comes Sunday.
Remember, the Sky Never Miss email had a link to set the Recording, so you're not going to please everyone 😂.
Presumably, shows like SWAT and MacGyver that have changed dates a couple of times would get a notification each time it changed?
Also, would there be a way to see a list of series a user had set up a notification for? And subsequently edit that list?

Re: Epgservices sky never miss
@oj01 yeah, I did think that 3rd option may confuse people more than help. I'll stick to the original plan and see how it goes.
Regarding lists, no, that's not possible, unfortunately. It would require people having to sign up to an account on the site, which I wanted to avoid as it makes things a lot more complicated than just entering an email on to the shows they like.
And yes, with things like the late changes on SWAT and MacGyver, I'd push an update out each time it changed. Although, the situation with those shows is quite rare. Most series don't change dates that close to when they were supposed to be broadcast.

Re: Epgservices sky never miss
@GeekTown Thank you for setting this up, like @oj01 I personally also prefer to be notified in advance (say 7 days before a show airs) so I can setup recordings, I presume you are planning to do this but if not it would also be good if you could do it so updates go out each time the latest/next uk air date value changes as an example S.W.A.T was due on 31st May then change to 7th July and then July 14th before it was pulled for the foreseeable future so it would be good if we could get updates each time this date changes.
thank you again
