Re: Epgservices sky never miss
I agree - it's disgusting they deleted Never Miss without warning - they could have easily notified customers beforehand. It is no use their website saying select "New series from the Top Picks area"; my Top Picks are apparently "on the way" according to my TV! It reminds me of when Sky gave deleted items in the Planner a 2 month life (having had no end date before). Again, it would have been good customer service to warn customers this was about to change so they could have moved them from the deleted section. All these little things add up when making a decision whether to renew or not.

Re: Epgservices sky never miss
Perhaps, the reason for withdrawing Never Miss was so compelling that it had to be dealt with immediately. We can only speculate...

But we wouldn't need to speculate @Mark39 if Sky came out and gave the reason, which if it turned out to be acceptable, we could all say "oh, I understand then". But they won't, which only leads to more speculation. I mean, what could be that vital to stop holding a database of TV shows and movies and emailing customers who had asked to be emailed.

Re: Epgservices sky never miss
The latest response I have from SKY:
Thank you for the email about the removal of the Never Miss function on 18/5/2020.
I am sorry that you feel disappointed there was no prior communication at the removal of this function. This was a Sky business decision.
It has been replaced as shown on the website by an alternative method.
They appear ibcapable of understanding the frustration the removal of Never Miss has caused, or, how useless their alternative is.

Re: Epgservices sky never miss
What a shame....what happened to the customer is alright right and the customer should come first.....no more that is for sure, well as far as Sky is concerned!

Re: Epgservices sky never miss
Watching Scream tonight which i manually added as a recording whereas I would have added this as a never miss reminder, so SKY I now have to do all the legwork i.e constantly checking for a film THANKS for Nothing

Re: Epgservices sky never miss
Sky say they have replaced the service with full instructions on how to use it and here is a screen grab of those instructions.

Sky never miss
What has happened to sky never miss?? The alternative it to look at new series through sky Q box. There is no way that this can display all the options that all the people want to see. The reminder service for new series was really helpful, particularly for less mainstream programs. How are we able to see these now? Will there be a setting as before that automatically records previous series links? Will that work for all the series links I had before moving to sky q? I am unbelievably confused as to why a useful service has been stopped

Re: Epgservices sky never miss
@Eddie+Evans I get the same screen as you do however others have got the other screen you mentioned. However it is far from useful it effectively just says look at the programme guide options.

Same. Regardless of what Sky try to tell is, there's currently no useful substitute for the Never Miss service.
It wouldn't be so bad if Smart Series Links worked reliably, but NM has saved me from missing new series more than once. We can only hope that Sky put in place something new, more akin to the proper service. Not holding my breath, though.

Re: Sky never miss
Lord knows why they took NM down, specially without letting their customers know.....I doubt very much if we will ever find out...arrogant bunch that they are!

Re: Epgservices sky never miss
I know...but they are no use to anyone who wants a reminder of returning series, or forthcoming new series, or films.....no use at all....I had a go....!

Re: Epgservices sky never miss
Can someone please give the CEO's email address as I want to send an email to them as well as making a complaint?
Apologies if it has already been listed, I did try searching, but couldn't find it.

Re: Epgservices sky never miss
Series links are fine when they work, but quite often I find they have recorded an old series that Sky has decided to show again and not a new series of a show and also sometimes they miss recording a new series and you then miss out on episodes. Also only good on shows you already have linked on your box.
