You can probably draw your own conclusions on the likely reason for its withdrawal from that very fact...

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

Terrible decision to remove never miss. The email alert facility was excellent and it was a great way of getting notified of any upcoming films or classics I wanted to re-watch.

None of the other alternatives listed come close; so we can only hope that someone creates a web page or app to replace it.

It will also be interesting to see how the data access query earlier in the thread pans out. A copy of the list I've spent years creating would be most appreciated.

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

Please bring back 'Never Miss' it was one of your most useful options, much better than recommended options. Sometimes you would see an advert /trailer for a show, & it was great to go into never miss & request a reminder. Bad judgement call to get rid of this service.

What has happened to Sky never miss?

Does anybody know why sky never miss has disappeared?

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

Unbelievable.

i can understand them maybe not wanting you to "not miss" films that they could get you to otherwise buy.
but what about the more obscure or less popular tv series on some of the smaller channels?
there were some things I'd like to be reminded about that I'll probably never see advertised on their home page/top picks/whatever!

its ok though, if you not going to remind me of all the shows I like to watch, I'll just forget about you. At least Netflix emails me and tells me a series I watch has a new season out and I've not even asked them to notify me!

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

As per the recommendation earlier in the thread I submitted a complaint to sky. Here it is:

"Hi, Can you please advise why the sky never miss service has been withdrawn without notice. This was a key tool to be able to get the most out of sky tv. Thanks"

I think that's a pretty straightforward question.

Here's the response:

"I am sorry, it's not clear from your email what your enquiry is in connection with.

Please reply to my email providing more details"

😡

Even so, I would urge everyone to register a complaint via that method as it's the only way that Sky really see the amount of feeling about this.

@Oddie2004 I'm not sure that the TV Time App is any good, particularly for US shows. It might work for UK produced shows, but for US shows it will show the date it airs over there.

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

So I emailed again to clarify:

"

Sky provided a never miss email reminder service. But the page and service have now been removed.

My questions are:

Why did this happen without advance warning?
What is being used to replace this service? (The Sky Q recommendations does not offer the same features)
Is it possible the obtain a copy of my list of never miss items?"

And got this back:

"As of Monday 18th May, this feature has now been permanently removed , customers will no longer receive emails advising that returning series of shows they may of set up, additionally the never miss page on sky.com has been updated to advise customers on how to find new series on their Sky Q/Sky+ boxes"
Very helpful.........😡

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

So during lockdown myself and my daughter have started a movie marathon watching a different film every night this is where the never miss service for FILMS comes into its own. Now these are not going to BE Top Picks

Before any critisim on me she is 20 years old and we both like horror and her mum doesn't

We have watched

We have watched Seven (mainstream)

The Killing Room (not going to be a Top pick That)

Exam (not going to be a Top Pick)

Every Which Way but Loose (not going to be a Top Pick)

Phantasm (Not going to be a Top Pick)

Planet of the Apes

The Box (Not going to be a Top Pick)

RoadKill/Joyride (not going to be a Top Pick)

So heres my point Top Picks are pandering to the mainstream and middle of the road customer. Now I would use

Sky Never Miss to bookmark PHONE BOOTH, but now I can get it on Amazon cheaper than Sky so thats going to be tonights Viewing.

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

I was disappointed to find it was gone when I tried to pop on today and add another series.
However, I have been thinking I should watch less TV, so perhaps this will help me...if I don't get reminded about things there will be less temptation (seems a funny way to go about running a tv company mind you).

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

Losing SKY Never Miss is bad enough but what makes it worse is the dimissive attitude of SKY and the total lack of an explanation. To me it's liketheybelieve because i'm just an ordinary customer i'm not worthy of an explanation.

Re: Epgservices sky never miss

Yes, its the lack of communication that is the real problem.  I don't agree with them taking down the serivce but can understand it in some ways.  But to withdraw it with no warning at all is the poorest kind of customer service.  When I said that in my complaint, they have gone suddenly quiet with no response.  I also emailed the CEO, so we'll see if that helps too.  I will continue to complain until I get an answer or apology.
