Download speed not what I expected

Hi ! Can somebody tell me why my download speed is 18 mbps altough I`ve got the ultrafast offer ?

Also I`ve connected my router to my pc through a ethernet cable, everything is wired correctly and was checked by a sky technician. Dude said I should phone them but nobody picks up....could be some option from my PC ? the tech guy said that this is really weird because on his internet device tablet wtv he was getting 100 mbps at least. So why I`m getting only 18 mbps download speed ? cheers

I`m in gigabit ethernet

Thats not what i mean.  Is your sky hub plugged into a seperate large box or a small g.fast master telephone socket. Can you post your stats as well we need as much info to have any chance of helping you

Sounds like g.fast. it can take a couple of days to push the correct parameters to your profile anything after you'll need to contact sky

When was it installed ? And just double check your router settings in ethernet menu are gigabit

it was installed last friday and I double checked the gigabit option on ethernet

Waiting for fast.com stats to come thru. but everything else is spot on apart from the througput speed

fast.com stats are 130mbps download....

Fast.com is by far the best site to use so i would be happy that your ethernet speeds are pretty much in the ballpark '👍 don't use steam myself so can't advise what settings would make make it faster
