My answer is actually what has happened! In order to be listed on a providers EPG, they need to have a valid broadcasting licence for the country they are broadcasting to! If the channels concerned decide not to get a ComReg licence for ROI, then they have to come off the EPG. 

Other providers in Ireland may remove the channels closer to January 1st. 

Sky are allowed to charge a set fee for an EPG listing for each channel in each country. You can't for a second believe that they would willingly deny themselves income in this way voluntarily?

I've no doubt they charge companies to be added to their EPG but a lot of these radio stations would have been on the EPG from a long time back and were probably never charged. Sky also offer a media package (advertising) to the TV companies such as Now Music if like any business it's not profitable they cull them. I'm not bothered about losing a few channels nobody really watched, but I'd be concerned about how many more they may choose to cut and cry Brexit.

In Eire, EPGs are regulated by your own bureaucracy (the 'Broadcasting Authority of Ireland', apparently), under principles established by the EU legislation you will still be subject to.   Any broadcaster listed in the version of the Sky EPG visible in Eire comes under their jurisdiction, which, as repeated ad-infinitum above, is an example of exactly why this situation has arisen because (barring a very last-minute deal covering such things) the EU aspect will not be held in common between UK and RoI from Jan 1st 2021.

I am furious to discover that Classic FM radio has been removed from Sky along with many other stations that have become part of our daily life. Three TV's with three separate sky boxes scattered around the house and all tuned to Classic FM every day. Two of them will now go as this is the straw that broke the camels back. After losing the Heineken Rugby and the PRO14, i was questioning my sanity for continuing with Sky but without any argument from my wife, i can now proceed to cancel after 20 years.

@Sikovsky Why don't you contact Classic FM and ask them why they've decided to not take out the required license to stay on the Sky Ireland EPG?

Classic FM and the other 'stations' have removed themselves from the Sky EPG for subscribers in Eire to avoid potential post-Brexit regulatory complications.  As @oj01 indicates you should direct your complaints to the channel owners (or possibly 10 Downing Street): this is not a decision made by Sky.
