But they can't just expect us Irish to pay normal price for 76 +channels that are no longer available, I can't they approach a few Irish radio station and get them on their platform. ?? A few News channels and plus1 channels were pulled as well now 70s now 80s ClublandTV.

I've no doubt that if the channels wanted to be hosted on the Sky platform, Sky would accommodate them.

@Madgec1 A good few plus 1 channels,news channels as well as now 70s now 80s 90s Clubland TV, MTV+1
Comedy Central extra +1 and 72 others. all pulled leaving us Irish wite less to watch but still pay same price,.

@amelialeah57 @72 plus channels and still them same price. Why can't they just even approach a few Irish stations rafio stations etc.

@Mark39 73 plus stations gone is to much. And whats next. Few HD channels gone too. But still there on other platforms in Ireland..

@Annie+UK If they asked Sky to remove them it's only because Sky made it unviable for them to be there. Sky is not a free to air platform try getting your facts correct

@Hi.hi ... but you weren't paying for those channels that have just been removed. Anyone with a free-to-air satellite box can watch them. So Sky owe you nothing. The previous HD removals in previous months were down to commercial reasons by the broadcasters. This is a legal issue.... and also not Sky's problem if the channels concerned don't want to pay to be licenced in Ireland. In any case, if you're that desperate to watch them, you can tune them in manually.

@Hi.hi These channels are still available to view but you have to manually add then to the other channels section of your sky box.
There are plenty of know all's on here that are trying to convince everyone that they don't have a license to operate in Ireland due to Brexit yet all the radio station and tv stations are still available on several platforms

@Gedge808 Take your viewing card out of your Sky box and flick around the channels. You'll see how many free-to-air channels there actually are. You'd be surprised.
Also, it's a bit rich coming from you saying that there are "know-all's" on here, [removed]. If you don't want to believe the facts, then crack on.

WE LOST 10 TV MUSIC STATION IN 1-month and 40 + radio stations.. aswell as Animal Planet HD, lifetime HD,TCM.HD,SKY.2 Disney channels.
Other TV platforms are airports and railway stations told me they will never go to Sky because they're charging in double figures way too much to be put on any platform. We will beg to differ because I don't agree with anything you're saying.
15 Dec 2020 08:47 PM
@Gedge808 That's my point exactly how come there on other platforms in Ireland but not Sky ..because other platforms are not charging as much as Sky is looking for.

Those channels you mentioned closed as they were unviable and the owners were closing them down. That affected the UK too. Nothing to do with Sky. This is different.
