RTÉ Gold wasn't on the Sky EPG

Dear Sky,
Why exactly have CGTN and RT news channels been removed, as well as most music channels?
I notice that I'm still paying you the same rate per month, but now, am getting less!

As stated above, Sky does not remove channels: channels choose to withdraw from particular markets.
In most of these cases, I suspect the channel owners (which are not Sky) aren't prepared to deal with the likely current and future regulatory, legal and licensing/royalty headaches of broadcasting the same content (particularly copywrite music) to both an EU and a non-EU nation, and have effectively been forced to drop the smaller target audience (5 million rather than 66.5 million) based on a simple financial calculation.

Dear Sky
Yet another reduction in service without any reduction in cost.
it's really staggering how you treat your loyal customers.
Well, removing all the radio channels today from Irish customers is the last straw.
In four weeks time I will be €130 richer every month from cancelling my TV subscription. That's €1,560 a year to spend on a new provider. I suspect I'll get one for a lot cheaper.
Things must be going very well for you if can afford to lose customers like me.
Goodbye.

As noted above, Sky haven't 'removed' anything: these are not Sky channels. The owners of non-Sky channels do as they see fit to remain both legal and profitable.
You can blame the Brits who voted a particular way in 2016 if you like, but not Sky...

How many more people are going to post on this thread asking the same question that's already been answered. Look further back and you'll find the answers!!! The channels that have gone were FREE TO AIR anyway, so you've lost nothing financially. You weren't paying for them in the first place. It's down to those channels not willing to get a separate licence to broadcast for ROI after 1st Jan when Brexit transition ends.
Now STOP asking the same question over and over please - thanks 🙂

About as likely as a satisfactory deal, at this point...

What on earth are you talking about?
these channels weren't shut down, they've been removed from the program listing on sky.
Sky and any other service provider can add and remove channels as they see fit

Rubbish, a channel would have to breach it's contract with sky for sky to remove them from the EPG, none of these channels have done so thus the channel themselves have decided to come off the EPG
Have you not read all the other people in this thread explaining the situation or are you just deliberatly ignoring them also!

Why is ClassicFM no longer available? Will it be coming back?

Please people, I beg of you. Take 5 minutes of your lives to read a page or two before posting. This one is only 4 pages long. It's a pamphlet. Read it first. Go on.....surprise everyone by portraying knowledge. I dare you.

Sorry, no. Broadcast EPGs are regulated (for UK-based broadcast platforms by Ofcom). Any channel meeting UK broadcasting standards has the right to an EPG slot, and the platform owner cannot deny them, add them against their will or remove them, except for breach of service contract, as @Annie+UK mentions, or as the ultimate Ofcom sanction for repeated flouting of the Broadcasting Code.
The channels listed in this thread have been voluntarily removed by their owners from the Irish market.

You do realise your long winded and I bet you think intellectual answer totally contradicts yourself.
these channels have only been removed Sky EPG, they are available across other platforms including the option to add these manually via the other channels option on Sky. If it was a broadcast issues these channels would be blocked on every platform. Just as the BBC does with certain programmes being broadcast outside of the UK. Sky removed these for financial reasons it's nothing to do with Brexit.

It's all to do with Brexit and it's only the beginning..
