I don't think that's a change. Just a restatement of what you've already agreed to. Check your contract details.

No, this is new or they would not have included it as a change in the email received by everyone.

I'm not asking Sky.

I'm asking you and other forum members how this benefits me or anyone else.

I think some of us have already commented on the benefits. As for paying one off costs all you are doing is allowing Sky to take payment after they notify you in advance which gives you time to query it

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

Care to share because its seems incredibly dumb for them to repeat it more than once in their contract update email.
