Cancelling in a contract

Hi, currently out of a job (teaching assistant) and struggling to make ends meet. If I'm in a contract can I still cancel with minimal charges. I understand I will have to pay something. My bills are currently £83 a month and we barely even use sky 😣😢 it's just too much for me to pay with 4 small children

@Katieg8190 Sky are not obligated to let you cancel as the terms and conditions you agreed to explicitly states you cannot cancel during minimum term

if you phone and ask sky they may let you cancel subject to early termination charges that equals the full remaining months on the contract

  • It may be worth speaking to Sky about adjusting your terms to suit your budget by dropping some packages you don't need but extending your minimum terms for the remainder?
  • ETA Thanks @caesarome for the warning about admin charges, but consider it over 12 or 18 months.
Passing on the tips I have learned in over 25 years as a more than satisfied Sky customer.

If you do change your package then watch out for the admin charges that will probably be added to your account when doing so.
