so is obviously a nationwide problem

This is the third time in two months this has happened

10.30 pm and the Internet went off, I have a submission of assignment tomorrow and sky mobile data isn't quite stable too.. worst is I have signed up with sky just yesterday.. i don't know what to say to this lousy service 😕

We moved over to sky glass and as you can probably guess it is a very quiet house this evening! I pay sky a huge amount of money each month and will be looking at alternative providers after this!!

@scoobycarl ensure your broadband is actually connected via the router or else DNS change will not work.

I am currently using my windows 11 machine with manual DNS of 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 which is working.

If your broadband is down down it will not.

Shown below is my computer on automatic it cannot resolve bbc.co.uk and google.co.uk but can resolve 8.8.8.8

and below you can see when manual and using google DNS I can resolve the host name.

Yep. Checker is not working. That seems to be part of the UK wide issue, also signing in with phone number.

Guys, this is the solution.

Changed my device's DNS to 8.8.8.8 worked.

My Broadband just disconnected. I am in Chatham, Kent. Sky app is not connecting.

@Thomas12 You should not be  relying on voip for Emergency. You should have alternate incase of Emergency like a mobile.
