Back on sky Q

Found the transfer back to Q very easy and well organised by Sky.

The agent fully understood my reason for cancellation of glass and appolgisied for my issues. They did however raise concerns that I had gone through 5 glass TVs which I personally exsessive to say the least.

My reasons for exchanging was vertical banding and unfortunately never found one to which I would call acceptable (wasn't looking for perfection because I know that simply doesn't exist). That and it's poor local dimming support.

I've since purchased a hisense u8gq for less than what the price is for sky glass and so far really enjoying it. It has full local dimming support. Dolby Atmos / vision IQ and if your looking for a new TV I strongly recommend.

Slightly strange being back on Q. Seeing all those channels again that il never watch however with that the image feels ever so slightly crisper than glass. Maybe due to the TV or maybe due to being a q box. I'm not sure

Re: Back on sky Q

Done the same this week, never been happier.

Rung them Monday, Glass gone and back on Q by Friday!

Picked up Philips 55 Inch 55OLED706 Smart 4K UHD HDR OLED, from Argos, over £400 quid knocked off at the moment.

Never been happier, picture is super sharp and bright, sound better than glass and with Ambi light.

I do wish everyone else luck with Glass, I hope they eventually sort out the issues.

Re: Back on sky Q

Was considering oled however I do really like my bright speculative highlights in games and films.

I have the u8gq and it's weird now seeing 0 banding and 0 DSE when watching flims and gaming.

I do hope sky manage to turn this product around as the concept is great. Just let down by the hardware.

Re: Back on sky Q

I'm the same. 7 days from the call where they agreed to take glass away to be back on Q, replaced Glass with a Sony Bravia XR OLED and it blows Glass out of the water.

Just a shame I lost a 2TB Q box which they don't supply anymore

Re: Back on sky Q

I might be mistaken however I was told that the old 2tb versions didn't support HDR.

I'm on a 1tb version which does.
