Re: BST TIME CHANGE PLEASE READ!!!

My Sky+ box was affected by the clock issue since the change to GMT on Sunday  but is now resolved automatically with no intervention on my part!

Re: BST TIME CHANGE PLEASE READ!!!

Thankfully it is finally resolved - automatically updated on return from work. Annoying but great fun reading this forum - my favourite response was 'Hamish on the lash with COVID being the only Sky guy able to resolve the issue 🤣🤣😂

You'll be glad to know that Hamish (the wee devil) has now fully recovered and is now back at work with narely a verbal warning from his line manager! LOL

Albert, with respect, what on earth are you talking about? If Ford recall a Ford Focus that has a fault, is it patronising that a Ford Puma isn't also recalled?

Re: BST TIME CHANGE PLEASE READ!!!

I'm glad my contribution brought a smile to your face @Midsommar  In fact Hamish's boss Tommy McAvadish found him horizontal in his local pub, The William Wallace arms, but managed to drag him out long enough to fix the bug. As @StephenSky  said, he received a verbal warning, but only on the understanding that he makes himself available again in March next year when the clocks go forward again!

Your box will be updated tomorrow @L31c35t3r at 2.10am or you can manually update it your self now.

Switch off or unplug your Sky box at the mains.
Check the power light on the front of your Sky box is off.
Press and hold the backup button on your Sky box (not the Sky remote). The backup button is located on the front panel of your Sky box.
Keep pressing down the backup button. Don’t release it (even momentarily).
Now switch your Sky box back on at the mains. You need to keep holding down the backup button and switch it back on at the mains at the same time.
Continue to press and hold the backup button for up to 30 seconds until you see all four lights on the front panel of your Sky box illuminate.
Release the backup button. Your Sky box is now in download mode.

Because it's always about telling  us that older boxes are inferior. Fed up every time I  ring for help I'm told this and that I need to upgrade. That's what I meant.

Of course they'll try to get you to switch to Sky Q if you call - that's just promotional marketing. But you don't have to, and it's perfectly ok to ignore it.

System box times have not changed since clocks gone back

The system display times have not auto adjusted since the clocks went back 1 hour over the weekend.  We are not the only ones with this problem as we have asked numerous other households.

You've posted this in the Sky Talk forum, this isn't a Sky Talk issue, if you look in the correct forum, Sky+ you will see a pinned thread about the time difference.

@Tickeyanne You have posted on the forum for issues with Sky Talk landline phones. Is your issue with Sky+ TV? If so there are nearly 1900 posts on this subject on that forum. In short....... it will be sorted overnight tonight.

Re: BST TIME CHANGE PLEASE READ!!!

T-minus approx 6 hours until the remaining customer boxes should be updated to show the correct time.
