Re: Anyone noticed today the SKY TV planner still shows BST an hour ahead?

Mine's exactly the same!!! (it hasn't half caused a ton of confusion😫). I messaged my daughter about 10.30am asking her how the heck I did it myself and ofcourse you CAN'T.  Eventually I phoned sky and as usual got a machine 🙄 and all they said was they were aware of it and had their best people working on it. Yeah right 🙄 that over an hour ago and it's STILL on summertime!!

(maybe their best people are wearing sunglasses and can't see it 😅)

It's not as simple as changing the time on a computer though, so that's why it takes longer.

All the different Sky boxes use the same time source (the satellite broadcast), but only Sky+HD is wrong - Q and even the older Sky+ boxes are right. Those time sources always use UTC (what we used to call GMT), then the boxes apply an offset for BST.

So it's a bug in the Sky+HD system - likely it's not calculating the end of BST properly. If that's the case, then it'll require an update, which has to go through their test processes. The last thing anyone wants is an update to correct the wrong time being displayed (but which doesn't affect recordings) to break something else.

It is the same for anyone with a Sky+ HD box @Ant+1983 , Sky are aware.

Re: EPG SKY+HD Time never went back with clocks

Sky are a waste of space  every clock in the country went back 1 hour except sky. WHY?

Re: EPG SKY+HD Time never went back with clocks

Ive unplugged & reset sky box. Still showing 1 hour ahead. Why are they so backwards at coming forwards. Every other clock in the house resets itself.

Re: BST TIME CHANGE PLEASE READ!!!

Wow in all my 16 years with Sky this has never happened. Seems like Sky HD+ customers are just an after thought now. Funny how it doesn't affect Sky Q and Glass! Another way to get us to upgrade. I did try to sign up for glass before it was released but as soon as it was released I get a message saying there is such high demand I would have to wait as new customers are probably being put first!

Re: British summertime has ended!!

Guessed I wasn't talking to Sky but figured they at least monitored it in some way. You say Sky employees are identified as such so they must read this as customers do. Actually finding how to contact Sky on any particular subject (especially one as obscure as this) from a drop down box is nigh on impossible.
I saw others posted regarding the same issue and as with most things in life, one voice gets nowhere but when the masses make themselves heard things stand more of a chance of getting done.
As for the withholding payment point, it's not the first time their ineptitude has led me to do that and they have never cancelled my subscription, doubt they would respond to threats of a timeout or bed without dinner would they?

Sky have responded on twitter and on this forum that they're aware of it and working on a fix.

An American company are bitter remainders because they've not updated the time properly on a box used by a minority of their customers?

May I suggest you loosen your tinfoil hat a bit.
