Re: BST TIME CHANGE PLEASE READ!!!

I don't have a link and it came from a friend who is an engineer at Sky and he sent me that back when I asked him the question why it's not updated.

Time not changed on Hd+ box.

Couple of queries:

Clocks went back this morning but my sky HD+ box not showing correct time.

Am leaving Sky in couple of months. Do i have to return my sky hd+ box which have had for 13 years and my " Superfast" standard router which have had since March 2020?

TIA

Re: BST TIME CHANGE PLEASE READ!!!

Both my Sky+Hd boxes are showing 10.39 as I type this when in fact it is 9.39  , this shows on all channells  when you change  and access epg  or press select

Re: Box has not switched time to GMT

Just checked my phone and ipad as I have sky on there as well...the clock HAS changed on those devices but not on the TV/BOX ?

If you put Sky Sports 1 on the small scree top right shows the correct time after the clocks have changed bit if you press the 'i' ( info ) button it is still one hour ahead.

As I said before..best to keep an eye on your recodings for the next 24hr...

Re: Box has not switched time to GMT

Ok, so we just did a 'test drive' and the person who posted about the 'double negative' thing is right. The planner thinks it is on bst, the recording starts as planned, with the correct programme. I think we can relax about our programmed recordings for now. It's a bit of a brain bender though!

Re: Box has not switched time to GMT

Exactly the same problem on my Sky+ HD box. Time is still BST, has not changed to GMT.

Anyone with a Sky+ box is seeing the time issue as this forum is flooded with other posts on this issue.

You own the Sky+ box so what you do with it is up to you. With Sky Q the box is on loan so would need to be returned along with any minis you might have.

Re: Box has not switched time to GMT

My Sky+HD box is also still showing BST....I  went on the Help & Support bit on the box, that is showing the correct GMT time 🤔

Re: Box has not switched time to GMT

I thought the planner works on a program basis not like setting a VCR.  So if I've set it up to record say Billions @ 10pm and something else forces a time change, say an urgent political statement, by 30 mins, that the Sky box automatically adjusts.

So I don't think it matters what "time" it is, its looking for the signal from the program and starts it accordingly.

Is this correct ?

Re: Sky HD box has not automatically adjusted its clock for winter time

Thanks.  What a shame Sky didn't see fit to put some message on their website.  Would have saved me half an hour queuing on the phone to SKy Protect, only to be told its a general problem Sky know about and are working on it.    Whatever the problem turns out to be it's caught them with their pants down.

Re: Box has not switched time to GMT

I reckon you're right. I set a test recording, Love your weekend, which started at 10 but box said 11. It started recording correctly at 10. Still annoying though.

Re: Box has not switched time to GMT

I was so glad to see this post. I have the same problem and tried the reboot, which didn't work. It sounds like they're working on it so fingers crossed. I can't believe they didn't realise until it was reported!
