call charges to sky

I made a call to sky ireland to cancel my contract (which was very high monthly rate) and I have been  a sky customer for 30 years

got my EE bill and Just one phonecall to sky  cost £146.12!

totally peeved off how can a customer for 30 years be charged premium rate to cancel a contract

Did you use the number from Sky's website?

The correct number (0818) to call Sky is a NGN number which are not premium rate.

If EE are charging a lot for NGN numbers then I'd be peeved with them...  (As Sky won't be receiving any of the call charges)

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own

@dee772

You mention calling Sky Ireland but you've referred to the cost in GBP. As stated, official numbers to Sky Ireland Customer Services are not premium numbers. If you need to call Sky again you can call Sky free by dialling 150 from a Sky Talk landline or a Sky Mobile, alternatively you can use:
https://www.sky.com/help/home
**ROI customers**: change the flag in the bottom right corner of the link to the ROI flag then scroll down and click on ‘Need more help’ and it provides a 0818 number.
(The forum doesn’t allow us to type the numbers in full).

@dee772  As per other posters you've qouted your cost in UK £ but say you called Sky Ireland, Irish customer are charged in Euro  €

In any event the call charges are levied by your phone provider EE you need to take up the charges with them, not Sky.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.
