They leave you on a chat queue that times out...over and over again. They never answer.........
You are on a call to UK from Ireland for an hour and then the lines drops. OR you get through and its the Scottish branch and they say "Need to transfer you to the Irish team" (Who seem to never actually be in work)
They are charging me DOUBLE my agreed contract amount now that the year has passed. I WANT OUT....
CONTACT ME AND REMOVE MY SKY TV PACKAGE AT ONCE

To cancel all your TV subscription, if you’re out of contract you’ll need to give Sky the required 31 days notice. The latest T’s and C’s explicitly state you can’t cancel when still in a minimum term deal unless Sky agree. If they agree you’ll have to pay the remainder of your discounted term.
Select ‘Need more help’ at the bottom of the following link which will lead to contact details.
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/cancel-sky-tv#contact-leave
(Make sure the flag in the bottom right corner is the correct one ie; UK or ROI).
UK customer ~ The link may include an email link and also a Message Us option (which is normally available between 9am and 7.30pm).
ROI customer ~ it’s only by calling Sky Ireland or writing in.
If you successfully cancel you should receive an acknowledgment email from Sky.
If you are cancelling Sky Q, return packaging will be sent out near the end of your notice period. Obtain proof of posting and keep it safe and indefinitely.

Tried everything you have suggested to no avail as I can never actually get in. Honestly its a farce. Ill just phone the banks and submit chargeback and cancel the 13 month direct debit. They should be ashamed of themselves.

Sky services will be restricted, late payment fees will be added, you won't be able to speak to Sky, you definitely won't be able to cancel and continued non payment will result in Sky passing the debt to a Debt Recovery company which may ultimately affect your credit score.

As @Daniel0210 posted, that will just make things more difficult. You've mentioned both Ireland and the UK. Where is your account domiciled? And where are you trying to contact Sky from?

Same for me. I am totally frustrated. I have tried ringing and. on a similar chat text you mentioned. I am since the 27/2/25 midday to now Mon 3/2/2025 trying. On Friday I just cancelled my direct debit and told them to cancel my my sky. Sounds simple they are still sending text and apologising for not dealing with it, and intend texting me again tomorrow . Probably to get my name etc. again. Similar happened to me a couple of years ago with WiFi. I wonder can they be stopped from inflicting this misery on us

Very unwise. Doing that is going to cause you additional problems. Your services will be restricted, you won't be able to call Sky, you still can't cancel, late payment fees will be added and eventually Sky will involved a debt recovery company.
