My 18 month contract is almost over so I contacted Sky about a new one. After making some changes I agreed to a new contract for broadband and a monthly contract for Sky TV. I've just looked at future bills on MySky and they are higher than they should be. I spent over 2 hours on the text chat to arrange this contract...how can I rectify the mistakes without going through this process again?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreIt can take a day or two for a new discounted deal to be applied to the system. Also, Admin charges are usually added to discounted deals (new or on renewal), and it’s normally £10 per discount. Perhaps check your bill and future bills in a couple of days and see if the new agreed amount is shown.

Also any changes may make the 1 st couple of bills higher than expected https://www.sky.com/help/articles/been-overcharged

I made the changes on 7th.
It has the correct amount for my June period bill, but then price jumps up from July for some reason

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreYou need to compare the breakdown of the July bill (for example) and the June bill and see where the difference is.

It's the broadband. It's going up from 30 to 32.5 after one month for some reason

Also, the broadband agreed was Ultrafast..but on the bills it is saying Superfast 😕

It could be due to a price increase in July. (Remember your contract is not fixed price)

Ok..when can Sky legal apply those price increase? I thought it was just in April. Are you saying that anybody who takes out a new 18 month contract, Sky can basically just apply an unknown increase the following month and you are stuck with it..even if it's not what you agreed?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreThe price increase has usually been in April for UK customers however for some customers (including myself) for some reason it's July/August time. Perhaps it's to spread out the price increases so they aren't all being applied on the same date.

It's all detailed in the contract you agreed. (In short once a year, but some services limited to 10% - or can trigger a penalty free exit option)
Remember you agreed a level of discounts from list. List can (and does) change.

Ah, so you are saying there will definitely be no increase next April then if it's once a year?
